Cheapshot artist Rob Gronkowski inducted into Greater Buffalo Hall of Fame

***** Gronk.

The first slap in the face was how for his first few years in the league he never claimed to be from Buffalo, but instead claimed he was from Pittsburgh since that is where he finished High School.

Then all those years he cooked the Bills as a Pat. Which I totally understand is his job, but I can hate him for that just like I do Tom Brady and Julian Edelman.

The cheap shot on Tre which he has never really been sorry for is just the cherry on top.

Not even mentioning that he's never done anything for the Buffalo/WNY community even in retirement.

Not a fan. Never will be.

Not sure what your standard of “never done anything” is, but he donated $60,000 in equipment to inner city youth football here and $50,000 to Children’s Hospital.

He should donate to the University at Buffalo Concussion Management Clinic in Tre White's name.

And the he should GFH.

LOL I’ll never understand why some people still hold onto this.  Everyone on the Buffalo Bills have forgiven Rob for that blatant cheap shot. Hell Tre White even forgave him.   Beane would never try to convince to play if there was animosity.

It’s funny how just about everyone in Buffalo has moved on with the exception of a few fans.  This happened so long ago….let it go

I did let it go - until he joked about it w/ Edelman recently.

Honestly my disdain for him is less from the cheapshot and more from him just being a Patriot douchebag

For me, it's both. He also justified what he did to White because White grabbed his jersey during that play.

The real crime is that the NFL only gave him a one week suspension. ***** him!

For a guy with his amount of earnings and celebrity, that is nothing. That's like me donating $6 and $5. Not impressed.

What's he supposed to do, give half his paycheck? If something isn't enough, why give anything at all

Apparently an unwelcome opinion - Gronk is the one of, if not the greatest to ever to play TE in the NFL. He's a Buffalonian through and through.

No one here is arguing how good he was on the field. Hall of Fame worthy and probably the best ever.

But how can he be "Buffalonian through and through" when he never reps Buffalo? Never once in his career mentioned "It's always tough beating the Bills this badly since I grew up loving them" and instead converted his entire (semi high profile) family to a bunch of Pats fans?

The only time I've ever seen him connected to anything Buffalo was when the KanJam folks paid him big money to make a 1 second appearance in one of their ads.

He could easily put his name on any type of fundraiser and help bring in a lot more money than that.

Agree 100%.  We would have LOVED him on the Bills much more than Buffalo Joe (bc of how much of a truly great player Gronk is vs. just a nice story)  if the assclowns we had in the front office at the time didn't pass on him multiple times.

Many "fundraisers" just bring awareness after all the bills are paid

He had DIRTY Hit On Tre'Davious White post play which he was suspended for one game.

One moment of life - for example, Gronk's cheap shot - shouldn't define a man.

(Unless that moment involved unforgiveables like murder, rape, or pedophilia).

It is so petty

His attitude toward it was always pretty nasty. He joked about it. He said he was happy to have a week off to rest. He was never really truly apologetic about it.

But if the guy who took the cheapshot and his teammates don’t care why should you?  It seems like such a moot point now, no?
