Anthony Munoz ... no question about it ... period ... end of story.  He is the Gold Standard.  I actually just saw / heard him do a Private Speaking engagement at a work related convention last month.  Truly fascinating.  His collegiate career was marred by injuries, and he was still drafted 5th overall in his class.  Was ranked the 12th best player in NFL history.  Boselli was dominant ... but Munoz was SPECIAL!  He OWNED Bruce Smith in his prime :(

I'm too young to remember seeing Boselli enough to make an educated decision/opinion on him, although I heard he was dominant.

I would have to say for me, the best LT I have ever seen would be either Walter Jones or Johnathan Ogden

Munoz or Walter Jones.

Starting in each of his 180 games in Seattle, the Seahawks attempted more than 5,500 passes with Jones on the field, while Jones gave up a total of only 23 quarterback sacks, and was penalized for holding just nine times.

For me, it’s Tony Boselli.

The guy was a beast and he dominated Bruce Smith in almost every matchup they had.

Who’s yours?

If he had maybe 3 or 4 more seasons healthy I don't think there's an argument except for who's #2,3,4 etc.....

I hated Tony Boselli.

Watching him throw our beloved little Bruce Smith around like a rag doll, looked like me trying to knock over my brother's much bigger friends when we played football: I couldn't budge them, like I was running into an immovable wall.  No chance.

That was my perspective sitting in the front row, 40 yard line on the Bills' sideline, at the Bills' playoff game against the Jaguars.

Our great Bruuuce reduced to an afterthought, made me realize just how good that pri#* was, the best left tackle I had ever seen play.

I think the entire game, Kelly getting 'knocked out', and in his last game, and the once dominant Bills losing to the short lived Jags, at home!, made those images of Bruce getting manhandled stick with me to this day.

So I was very happy the day I found out Boselli was getting inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Tyron Smith should get some love here. Different kind of player than Munoz. Munoz had technique and really changed the position into what it is today. Smith overpowered people in a way that no one really does. Trent Williams is also an honorable mention, as is Orlando Pace. Those guys were just unbeatable on every play. And they were disciplined, no penalties, solid technique on every play, and set a standard in the film and weight room.

You sort of hit a level of play at LT where you know these guys are among the best to ever do it, but without stats and with the era variance it becomes very hard to say. I would say Boselli, Jones, Munoz,  and Trent Williams are on that list for me. Williams has to be one of the most physically imposing OL I have seen. Dude looks like he will straight kill people out there.
