Riverboat Ritchie Posted November 13 Posted November 13 We definitely should of drafted him. I think we chose John mccargo ahead of him. Glad to see he still loves Bills and area. 1 Quote

Htt2821 Posted November 13 Posted November 13 I mean, McCargo was drafted in 2006 and Gronk in 2010, but hey…don’t let facts get in the way of a good “what if” 1 1 1 Quote

RiotAct Posted November 13 Posted November 13 my grandmother, to her dying day, was PISSED that we didn’t draft him (and every other local WNY boy who entered the NFL draft from 1960-2019). 2 Quote

peterpan Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Gronk was the obvious pick at the time. F’ing buddy nix man. my favorite story about McCarty is one told to me by my close friend and fellow bills fan. He was at the Buffalo Niagara casino back when mccargo was still on the team. He was in line behind this huge guy and my friend says “dude you are huge. You should play for the bills”. The guy turns around and responds “me? Nah man I couldn’t play for the bills. “. My friend says “ wait I recognize you, you’re John McCargo!!” Big guy responds “yea that’s me”. moral of my story - even John mccargo knew he wasn’t good enough to play for the Bills. 2 Quote

Sojourner Posted November 13 Posted November 13 When people mention this I try and think, would he have been successful here? Then I remember Fitz was QB during those first years he was in the league and made Scott Chandler successful. Probably doesn’t get a second contract here but is successful nonetheless. Sucks. Another what could have been. Quote

MJS Posted November 13 Posted November 13 So true. He could have wasted his career in Buffalo and gone down in obscurity. Quote
