I am doing KANSAS CITY BURNT ENDS.

I had them in 2008 when my youngest son and I had a sports trip to Kansas City -- Friday = Div 6 High School Play-off Game + Saturday = K-State Game + Sunday = Bills Win -- and started off the trip by driving straight to Arthur Bryant's from the airport.

I am going to loosely go off this recipe ==>. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/arthur-bryants-burnt-ends-recipe-1942462

The weather forecast is for sun and a high of 11C/52F on Sunday so I may use the electric smoker with pear wood or use the smoker system for the Big Green Egg with hickory pellets depending on the wind.

What's on your plate for this HUGE game?

As most of you may know, i eat whatever my wife makes whether its gameday or not, however, my wife is going to an Opera on late Sunday afternoon which means i have to make my own dinner for the game.

So, does anyone have any ideas for what i can eat?

Keep in mind that i am not technologically sound in the kitchen and in fact, when i am making my own food, my diet consists of mostly sandwiches and something i can whip together in less than 10 minutes.

Help me.......please.

Well something very easy would to make Mac & Cheese from a package and throw in some Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce at the end to taste.

NOT sure.

I thought Mac & Cheese with Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce would settle your stomach for the game.

Skip the traditional mac and cheese and go bold. Try some retada for the game.  Delicious elbow macaroni cooked together with some scrambled eggs and just a splash of pickle juice. That's some mojo in a meal!

good for you! I always worry when I smoke brisket. I have like a 50/50 success rate of it turning out awesome vs Mediocre.

I have two wifi temp gauges given to me as presents and I never use them.

Seems like cheating or using a condom....just kidding...just kidding.

To go with your mac and cheese: I think the easiest thing to cook, something that anyone can do is... a steak.

Buy a good ribeye or whatever cut you like. Heat up your thickest skillet for a few minutes on high, add a knob of butter and put the steak in there, sprinkle salt on top. Turn it a few times while it develops a nice crust. After 6-7 minutes throw it on a board. Done. Less than ten minutes start to finish.

And if it's not done enough, throw it back in the pan for a couple minutes.

Quite honestly I dont know what to do here... and am in an internal debate....  1pm Sunday home games Roast Beef is 3-0  ... Sunday home game but 430 start time... do I go with the "Its about the place and the day" and do roast beef... or does the time factor into it... I honestly dont know... Like, if I forsake the Roast Beef... do I blow the mojo and lose the game for us... or If I force roast beef into a 430 start do I blow it because it wasnt 1pm... I am honestly open to any thoughts here... please...

Sadly, the Speedway location closed during Covid.  They are down to the original, legendary Brooklyn Ave. location.

If you are going all out with Burnt Ends, I suggest you make their traditional fries on the side.  Fresh, hand cut Russets, skin on, cooked in lard.
