dgrochester55 Posted Saturday at 04:13 PM Posted Saturday at 04:13 PM (edited) Looks like a judge stepped in and blocked Musk from accessing the treasury. Thank God that they rescued the government from having financial accountability while helping Americans fight for their right to have their tax dollars wasted and misspent. Thanks also to the media for telling us what to think about it (that DOGE is bad cause Orange man bad) Crazy how those MAGA's wanted transparency in their government. How dare they! We have a right to be lied to by the government and media. Kidding aside, Do progressives actually want to help people or is scaring them into accepting third-world living conditions and dividing the country to the verge of Civil war the only things that they care about? Nope. DOGE is bad partly because it's overseen by an unelected billionaire who is one of the largest contractors for our govt. I can't think of greater conflict of interests. But I'm glad you're pleased with the admins priorities being removed from what trump campaigned on. You know, the kitchen table issue. How do you see him making your own life better? Is cutting off foreign aid going to help you directly? Can you get a nicer car, more vacations, a bigger house and better food? Will he bring about miracle cures and scientific discoveries that will improve everyone's life? How much do you think Musk is going to save in the end given that entitlements, interest on the debt and the military are massively overweighted in the budget? And why didn't trump do this in his first term instead of adding massively to the debt?

The Frankish Reich Posted Saturday at 06:26 PM Posted Saturday at 06:26 PM We should definitely not know the names or histories of Musk's DOGE minions. They should be allowed to remain completely anonymous. It is completely irrelevant if they are, say, 19 years old and were fired from an internship - an INTERNSHIP, which you basically can't be fired from because, you know, it's an unpaid internship - for disclosing internal company information. It is also irrelevant that you wanted to normalize Indian hate. Or that you don't have a clearance, because, well, you have demonstrated that you are utterly unqualified to get a clearance, and that you nonetheless access classified information. In fact, anyone trying to "doxx" you for doing a public job ought to be herself outed as a raging lefty liberal who is so un-American as to reveal the name of a public employee. - Trump supporters. 8 minutes ago, JDHillFan said: Go back to trying your hand at edgy. Added bonus: It was a youthful indiscretion, meaning that I said it last summer.

Didn’t you start a thread titled “Hail to the Deep State” or something equally ridiculous? Is that only a thing when dems are in charge? Another question - you were happy to have a delusion old geezer in charge because you were confident in those around him (unelected - I know that’s a dem talking point right now). Who were some of your favorites in the last administration? What left you most impressed by them? That’s two questions. 1

Nothing so ridiculous at all. It was titled Two Cheers for the Deep State. In other words, I recognized that the so-called Deep State is not without it's problems, as it creates an inertia resistant to change, even when change is needed. But it also suggested that - in my more traditional Chestertonian conservative viewpoint - that a man does not tear down a fence until he understands why it was put there, that radical change is often not a good thing. I suggest you read it. It may provide you and your ilk some needed, umm, maturity.

Were there any Biden Administration officials you were particularly impressed by? 1

Other countries did things I never thought they'd be willing to do, including Sweden's accession.
