The reason a rando, or maybe even a manager in the state department purchasing organization would make the change is because even though nothing untoward has occurred, the appearance of impropriety is there. That’s typically to be avoided in government contract work and the ethics ostensibly found therein.

Rooting out decades of malfeasance brought on by all of Washington both D and R is what interests me. That the matter is being driven by Trump and Musk is what bothers many, more so than the waste, fraud, and corruption. That’s weird to me.
