Not to mention all the law suits etc that the DOJ will have to defend. Then they'll probably have to send the failures to rehab. Government jobs have rules about this kind of stuff. I thought we were trying to save money. They think they can fire these people and they'll just go away. As far as the trying to get government employees to quit,it shows a total misunderstanding of government employees. They stay in their jobs so they can retire in 20 or so years and get nice pension. They're not gonna quit just cuz they don't like Trump, they'll just knuckle under until he's gone to keep their pension. (8 months pay < life Lont pension) I once worked with a guy on a computer project that had 2 pensions from 2 different government jobs. Edited February 1 by reddogblitz

I thought he was supposed to be looking at laws and streamlining processes. I have done this kind of work (streamlining processes) and even for the government. We never got access to classified systems without the proper security clearances. Does he have those? Being a past or present drug user usually nixes that. If he needs to look at the system to see how it works he could look at anonymized test servers. You don't access to these systems to review laws to find places to save money. I'm all for the government saving money but him and his underlings having access to classified treasury systems doesn't sound right. Edited February 3 by reddogblitz

Meaning he'd have to look at payment systems, some of which I'm assuming would be classified. 1 1

If he's interested where the money is being wasted they could run a report on where the money is going without Musk and his people having access to ALL the data. I don't trust these people. Seems you do. Actually I don't trust anybody having anything going on in government. Nor should I. We should he skeptical of what they're doing IMHO. Edited February 3 by reddogblitz
reddogblitz Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Quote Voorhees and McGill's leave is reportedly a result of not handing over classified materials to members of DOGE who lacked the proper security clearance. Disclosing classified information to someone without the proper security clearance is a violation of federal law. The two security officials were legally required to deny access to DOGE members who lacked the necessary security clearance. https://www.newsweek.com/usaid-chief-staff-resigns-amid-doge-push-classified-info-report-2024867 Who thinks it's ok to violate federal law in order for Musk to get in classified government systems? Will it still be ok for him to do this with Social Security classified systems too? He thinks there is a lot of waster there too.

Did you trust the people in there before? If so, why/more than Musk?
B-Man Posted February 3 Posted February 3 There's something really special about watching the Left get dumber and more melodramatic in real-time. Sure, we've always known they're a bit slow and likely mentally unwell but their reactions to Elon Musk actually making cuts in spending and holding the federal government accountable for every dollar it spends has been a HOOT. And what's really interesting is they're not so much complaining about the money as much as the PRIVATE CITIZEN who is daring to call these gross expenditures out. How DARE a lowly citizen (who happens to pay more in taxes than anyone else) have access to such important people and agencies?! THE HORROR. For example, Mehdi Hasan is very concerned about the richest man in the world having his Social Security number. No, really. Why does the IRS, an agency with thousands of people no one voted for, have access to our Social Security number? Why does any bank, a company with thousands of people no one voted for, have access to our Social Security number? ARGLE BARGLE RAR, bro. Get a grip. https://twitchy.com/samj/2025/02/03/mehdi-hassan-social-security-number-n2407766
