He went 104-35-4 at USC and 75-68 with the Rams, winning postseason games and contending for championships regularly with both teams. thenorthremembers Posted November 13 Posted November 13 My Grandfather had the NFL Films VHS tapes when I was growing up. I watched them relentlessly on the weekends. Coach Robinson was a fixture on a few of those. I always found it very cool that he and John Madden were friends growing up. LA Times did an article about their friendship when Madden passed away a few years back. dollars 2 donuts Posted November 13 Posted November 13 I don’t mean this sarcastically and I don’t mean any disrespect, but I honestly thought he passed awhile ago, for some reason about ten years or so. This makes this a double shame as I liked him quite a bit growing up for both USC and the Rams and also felt like an opportunity was missed to appreciate the guy while he was here when I already thought he was gone. There was always a sense that he inherited a total powerhouse and all the recruiting that came with that. Quote
