Certainly Knox can fill in and do so respectably, but lets face it, Defenses dont shift coverage to Knox like Kincaid.

You know Knox has done some damage to the Chiefs historically, also if there's player the most in sync with Josh it's him.

Definitely meant to say "know" not "mean" would be a weird autocorrect though.

His lack of production is entirely to do with Brady not knowing how to use him.

LaPorta plays under Ben Johnson who's a genius compared to Brady

idk … its also possible he’s not all that good

I think Knox is better at times

Thats just a lazy take.  Kincaid gets plenty of targets.  Kincaid has also been completely rocked in blocking, and has missed countless blocks.  One almost got our QB killed a few games ago.

How do you use a TE that can't block, but isn't fast enough to beat safeties?  He also isn't big enough to over power safeties.  Kincaid is essentially a large slot WR.

He has,   if Knox steps in he will do just fine... But I think Kincaid is a bigger threat that will command more attention from a defensive standpoint.

We definitely aren’t using Kincaid how everyone imagined. Joe Brady has his positives but the passing game is not one of them.

Just watching Kincaid he seems to be making a massive effort to drag and pull defenders and not go down easily. Clearly this gets him exposed to more injury risk (collarbone, knee, wrist, ankle, etc). With his body type, it might make sense to ask him to go down faster dive forward on those routes where he catches the ball between the hashes.

Ahh ok I see what you're saying. And you do bring up some good points cause I myself do like the Bills a lot better in 11 personnel to your point.

Which is why I was a bit confused when they did draft Kincaid, as Josh seems to be at his best in more 11 personnel/spread

I really like 12 with Josh now. Cause it puts the defense in that bind.  Do you want to put a base personnel or nickel. If nickel then Kincaid is likely blocking a DB (which he can def do) and Knox blocking a LB (sometimes a DE) and we’re getting chunks. Go base and now you have a LB in Knox or Kincaid and you’re cooked. The versatility is awesome. If it’s an obvious passing situation give me 11 with Kincaid and shakir

It was a thing of beauty when they tried to change defensive personnel last week when we kept the same offense grouping out there. They tried to sub out and Josh just ran a play while they had extra guys on the field and offside. That was one of my favorite plays of the game!  😂

I think some of the disappointment regarding Kincaid is justified.

He's hard to put in the right perspective. Historically for someone 26 games into his career, his numbers are pretty good but not great. And he did set a Bills rookie record for a TE last year.

On the other hand those who are propping him up by saying he helps the Bills O dictate coverage remind me of when people used to say that Tremaine Edmunds helped the Bills D dictate coverage.

Personally I'm a bit underwhelmed but I do wonder if it's how he's being utilized. Everything is a process and it's possible that the Bills learn how to utilize him better as time passes. It seems he's underneath too much and not enough downfield in the seams.

Overall I would say that my biggest disappointment in Kincaid is him having just 4 TDs in 26 games.

As far as availability for the Chiefs, tomorrow's injury report should give us an indication of whether he can play.

I really want to be higher on Kincaid. I want to see the hype. At times I do and then others he looks like any other guy. I am starting to think if he was just some 6th round pick, rather than a 1st, there would not be much talk about him - good or bad. Because most of the time he just looks like an average guy out there. And more like a big wide out than a TE. Problem with that is I have not seen the speed to beat guys or the power to out muscle them, so then what is the point.

At the same time, I wouldn't be shocked to see him explode for 100yd games...but then I think is that just because we used a first on him that I think that?
