Seems like a relatively simple fix just to use more loft More you loft it, harder it is to drop a dime. Allen is much more accurate when he’s throwing with some heat instead of air IMO. 1 Quote

Much more difficult to be pinpoint with ropes deep down the field. 2 1 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted Friday at 05:53 PM Posted Friday at 05:53 PM When Josh first started with his bad footwork and all, he seemed to hit the deep ball better. Maybe now he is trying to aim. Vs just feeling the throw and letting it rip. 32 minutes ago, DCofNC said: I don’t think there is one to be real. They want to control the ball, milk the clock, which is completely opposite of what you SHOULD do with a 1st ballot HOF QB. They limit his number of opportunities to be great, which in some cases, can be good.. BUT…. They played with fire by not getting anyone who could stretch the field. I questioned it all off season, what’s to stop the D from clogging the middle, taking away the TEs, Shakir and making it harder to run. The only answer is short routes to the RBs in the flats and Allen making insane plays on the run where the deep spots come open. Now, when it comes down to moving the ball WHEN YOU HAVE TO, the struggle is real. It’s 100% on Allen to create something. Somehow, they wanted to lessen the burden on Allen and if you see it as taking away the number of time he throws, they have. BUT, they also took away any opportunity for him to easily move the ball when they need to. Yes, it’s called hyperbole. How about this, the combined win percentage of the teams is below .500 I think the question is, are they maximizing the talent? They have completely taken the ball out of the hands of 1st round pick Kincaid, high paid TE Knox, biggest FA acquisition Samuel, and have barely involved 1st pick this year in Keon and the new pro bowl WR Cooper. The only guys getting “maximized” are the RBs. This is part of the reason I want an offensive minded head coach. We would field a team, and run a system, emphasizing Allen. 1 1 1 1 Quote

The elite teams mostly have offensive minded HC's. So barring a SB trip, that needs to be the first change. Edited Friday at 05:59 PM by Billsfanatic8989 3 Quote
VW82 Posted Friday at 06:00 PM Posted Friday at 06:00 PM Rough news about Kincaid though not unexpected. Coleman out. Amari either out or severely limited with the wrist. Spencer likely out...could be a long day for the offense. 2 Quote

The only guys getting “maximized” are the RBs. Kincaid ranked 6th (59) in NFL for targets thru 10 games. Pretty reasonable. Top 3 with 70+ targets are Kelce, Bowers (Raiders), Otton (Bucs) where there were significant injuries to WRs. If Kincaid was not injured last game, he might got to mid 60s target. There are legit questions on whether Kincaid himself is at Kelce, Bowers level that he deserves more targets. I myself had high expectations on Samuel when he was signed. But my friend worked at a sports agency kept telling me that Samuel value is really at versatility. No standout features at WR, nor RB. If there are injuries at slot and RB, he's great to have to fill in. But right now, Cook, Davis are better than him at RB. Shakir is way better than him at slot. So it is a struggle to get him on the field when those guys are healthy. Outside is not his strength as we saw last week. Keon is a rookie and Cooper got hurt 1 game in. Going forward, assuming Cooper plays more, I hope Brady can create some new plays based on his offensive concept that is ditched in training camp when he does not have a guy like Cooper - maybe start in the bye week. Gradually integrates those plays into practices Thursdays and Fridays. And ... hopefully we do not need to use them all the rest of the regular season and unleash them onto the Chiefs coming playoff time. 1 Quote
PoundingDog Posted Friday at 06:40 PM Posted Friday at 06:40 PM Look at from a different angle. There are about 64 offensive snaps in a typical game for the Bills. It is fair to say among Cook/Davis/Ty Johnson (run or pass), and Allen runs, about 30 snaps. That leaves about 34 snaps for WR and TEs. Kincaid/Knox/Morris may take 10 combined. So about 24 for WRs. Shakir deserves 8 targets. Coleman probably 5. Cooper between 5 - 8. Hollins may be 3. There is very little left for Samuel. When Coleman is out, Samuel's target should be up. 1 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted Friday at 06:44 PM Posted Friday at 06:44 PM (edited) I don't think there's a huge drop off from Kincaid to Knox to be honest. Kincaid is certainly a smoother athlete but I haven't been overly impressed with his ability to be at the right spot at the right time for Allen to deliver him the ball. I don't think it affects our game plan whatsoever. The only thing with Kincaid being out is it makes it that much more important that Cooper plays. Most teams have been scheming to take away easy throws to Kincaid, KC won't have to worry about that now. At least with Cooper out there they have somebody to devote extra attention to and that will open up opportunities for everyone else. Edited Friday at 06:44 PM by HappyDays 1 2 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted Friday at 07:25 PM Posted Friday at 07:25 PM Dawson Knox usually has big games against the chiefs. We will be fine Quote
BigAl2526 Posted Friday at 07:30 PM Posted Friday at 07:30 PM If Buffalo can come out of the KC game with a win sans (French for "without") Kincaid. they are set up for the last part of the season. The Bills will go into December incredibly healthy for week 13 of the season. I think Milano is going to be healthy, as will Coleman and Kincaid. The players who are playing though nicked up are all going to be healthy. San Francisco will be a tough opponent, but I like the Bills' chances with a healthy roster. Quote

I think it’s fair to question if Kincaid is worthy of more targets. I want to say he is, but I have to lean on what I saw last year, not this year. The thing that stands out to me, with his production down, Diggs gone, and Shakir not coming close to Diggs production.. where is the offense going to come from in the passing game? It has to be Keon and Coop, I just don’t think Brady has a scheme to get the WRs open outside. Quote

GoBillsForeverAndAlways Posted Sunday at 03:45 AM Posted Sunday at 03:45 AM Pretty sad to hear we won't have Kincaid for this game. Hopefully he can rest up during the Bye and come back as strong as ever for our last stretch of the season. As for this week, definitely a loss but I think we can still make it work with what we have Quote
