Did Mcd have any update on his injury today? I can't seem to find anything on it.

I think he said something along the lines of We'll see how the next couple days go for him.

There was an NFL twitter MD who said it looked like Kincaid suffered a PCL sprain which is generally a 1-3 week injury.    So I am anticipating more action to Knox and more 11 personnel Sunday.

Knox needs to step up

The team is better with just Knox in lineup.  Knox can actually block, and is able to catch the 3 balls that Kincaid catches.

I’m honestly not worried at all if Kincaid can’t go, Knox has looked pretty good in his insanely limited opportunities.

The problem is Knox isn't as consistent as Kincaid.

I remember the early years when Knox had the dropsies. Then one off-season he went to a "hands coach" and that turned him around.

In what area?  In blocking, Knox is night and day more consistent than Kincaid.

In terms of target vs reception, Knox has caught 10 of his 16 targets (62.5%), while Kincaid has caught 34 of his 59 targets (58%).

Kincaid is much more respected as a receiver than Knox.  When Kincaid is in the game, the openings for other receivers are better.  And when Kincaid is targeted, he's much more likely to make the catch.

Overall, the difference between what the two TEs bring to the field is more, what can each guy do, instead of, is one guy clearly better to have on the team.

If the Bills have their other pass catchers available, the absence of Kincaid (if it goes that way) against the Chiefs won't matter all that much.  But that assumes Coleman and Cooper are both back.  It was no accident that Josh's passing efficiency went down against the Colts, when he didn't have his best receivers.

The KC game is a milestone for the Bills but it's not what makes or breaks their season.  The Bills are good enough to beat KC in KC in the playoffs if it comes to that, and they're also able to lose to KC at home, as we saw last year.  It is NOT worth putting any player's long-term health at risk to improve the odds for this one game.

Here's the problem with stats:  Kincaid of course draws tougher assignments and the defence keys in on him- I'm sure you would Agree to acknowledge that.

And 16 targets compared to 59. If Knox had 59 targets, his efficiency of course will go down.

Is Knox a better blocker? Yes. Is he a better route runner with better hands? Not even close
