I wish Cover 1 film would break down some bad plays from Allen as well

Yes, he is the Buffalo Bills radio network game day sideline reporter.   Most often a job held by a female media member and then normally that job includes a bunch of other media work for the team.   But Maddy Glab gets all of that work.    So it's a "piece of a job" as they say on the street.

I'm going to be honest I didn't realize Dalton was hurt on that play. It's not like he was slow in getting up. 

 

Feels disingenuous to me to blame that injury on the QB though. It was certainly a bad throw, but the injury is just bad luck. Dalton might fall to the ground like that 100 times and only get injured once.

These guys are running a business. This isn't the old days where Jerry Sullivan could crap on anything and everything Bills and get away with it under cover of Buffalo News. 

 

It's not that disimilar to here. You criticize Josh and you might as well take a leave of absence. Why would cover 1 risk their subscriber base (mostly Josh fans) by doing anything more than the lightest of touch when he doesn't play well? And honestly, he's such a superduperstar that being overly critical is kind of missing the point anyway. Games like Sunday (objectively a bad game for him) are run-of-the-mill for 70% of the league.

But I heard Shill Carpaccio on WGR this am and the callers are really getting sick of his over-the-top ball washing.   Some dude with a heavy Indian accent called in demanding over and over that Shill be honest before he answers his question.   Then the next caller was disgusted by Shill's constant organizational apologizing.    It was hilarious listening to him realizing that HIS particular audience is sick of being bullish!tted and talked down to while he endeavors to stay in the best grace's of the team above all else.

I gotta say (and I fully realize you don't care and that a leopard like you doesn't often change his spots): Calling people names like you do makes you sound like a 5th grader. Shill Carpaccio?

I've learned over time that, despite your often off-putting and smug demeanor, you actually have a lot to offer in terms of knowledge and opinions. Nothing discredits it and diminishes it faster, though, than the name-calling nonsense.

Not really. That was just a bad throw by Allen. It happens. He let the ball go long after Kincaid was open.

QB’s aren’t aiming at a receiver. They are throwing to a spot where the receiver is supposed to be.

 

That is the ENTIRE REASON why defenders jam. It is to disrupt timing!

Actually you don't understand how NFL plays work.  Certain plays the QB is throwing to a spot, but this was just a classic overthrow. It happens. The gif cuts out when Allen releases the ball.  I can assure you Allen took responsibility for that incompletion.

The entire play is on X showing Allen release the ball.  Ian Hartitz @Ihartitz. It isn't really worth arguing about. It is obviously an overthrow. No big deal. Allen had some pressure on him but he clearly released it after Kincaid was open.
