JohnNord Posted November 12 Posted November 12 I’ve read people where lambaste McDermott’s coaching decisions - what do you think about Sean McVay kicking the FG at the 4 yard line? I thought it was weak. I get the logic that it’s a 2 possession game but it’s a lot harder to score a TD than a FG. When you have the chance to score a TD you go for it. Also if the game plays out the same way with Miami kicking a FG, the Rams have a chance to score the GW TD. I don’t watch much NFC West teams but man, Sean McVay sucks as a football coach. 1 Quote
zow2 Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Well i guess a crappy AFC East team is going to take down a supposedly hot NFC mid-tier team with a great coach and QB 2 Quote

I think Mcvay is a really good coach, but he's had a horrible night. The decision to kick the field goal there was ridiculous 1 1 Quote

Good coaches do have bad games, maybe with the exception of Andy Reid haha Quote
zow2 Posted November 12 Posted November 12 why didn’t they throw to the end zone on 3rd down, and actually try to get a TD? lol. he still could kick on 4th 1 Quote
pigpen65 Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Losing to the Fish ....... Rams should be relegated to the CFL Quote

It was incredibly weak considering there :40 some seconds left. Not sure if the analytics favor it but what’s more likely: - Score a TD and kick a long FG with :39 and no timeouts - Kick a long FG and score a TD with :39 and no timeouts McVay did kicked twice in these situations and it was pathetic. Like I said, if this was Sean McDermott everyone would be saying how bad of a coach he was. 1 1 Quote

gonzo1105 Posted November 12 Posted November 12 I always find McVay overrated as a play caller. He has an aging average QB in Stafford and he throws the ball all the time. Their best playmaker is Kyren Williams and they need to give him the ball more. 1 Quote
Nephilim17 Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Good thing, as a I said a couple weeks back, is Tyreek Hill's reign of terror appears over. Still a decent player but not what he used to be. I was told Hill's lower stats I cited for the year were because of Tua's absence. Well, in the games Tua has player since his return, here are Hill's stats... 72 yards receiving vs Cards 80 yards vs Bills 16 yards vs Rams and first TD since week 1 Decent but nothing great. Perhaps he needs to rebuild his chemistry with Tua. But I'd say it's more likely age has caught the fastest man in the league. Quote
