dma0034 Posted November 11 Posted November 11 The Chiefs still play the Bills, Steelers, Texans and those division games with Chargers and Broncos I think they lose 2 and get the 1 seed. Quote

If the logic is then that they are the best team in the NFL, I again strongly disagree. I think the saying "you are what your record says is way overblown." It has some value but records (like any stat) can be misleading. 1 Quote

Kelly vs. Marino… Looking back there was something fun about those Miami teams with Marino, Richmond Webb, Duper & Clayton, John Offerdahl, Keith Jackson, Louis Oliver and later Bryan Cox etc. The fins were very talented but the Bills always had their number. I also think Don Shula kind of sucked as a HC by 1990 too and Marv who was never really a cerebral X-O’s HC always seemed to out coach him in the playoffs. Part of the reason why the rivalry fell off was because both franchises failed to find a decent head coach/QB resulting in perpetual turnover. The Bills seem to have found stability…Miami? To be determined. Well said, John. Also, I am not going to bet the farm on this, but I believe that Marv Levy is one of the few (if not the only) Coach who had a winning record against Shula for coaches who have faced each other at least 15 times. Additionally, his last game as a Coach was a loss to the Bills. Good times. However, I will give credit it where it was due and earned...I believe Coach Shula was a good man, both in football and in life. Go Bills! Quote

To me that 72 team was the most boring football team of all time. BTW, I rooted for NE in 2008 for the same reason, to shut up the 72 team. I appreciate your hatred of the Dolphins. But c'mon man, rooting for NE to go undefeated is truly despicable behavior for a Bills fan. You think the 70's Dolphins team is obnoxious. The NE dynasty teams and fans are already unsufferable. It would be double if they had an undefeated championship on top of the other Super Bowls. People talk about how lucky the recent Chiefs seem to be, but they haven't had 1/2 the fortunate bounces & unbelievable calls the Patriots got. Just in their first SB season 2001, they got 2 of the most incredible calls ever to win games in OT. When Keion Carpenter knocked out Troy Brown and caused the fumble in OT week 14 at the Ralph, they awarded Brown the recovery even though he was unconscious. NE does not win the division and get a bye + home game without that break. And of course the tuck rule call in their home playoff game. That started the worst 20 year period in the history of the NFL. Those M F'ers in NE got break after break for 20 years. I hate them from the bottom of my soul 1 Quote

This isn’t their last obstacle to a perfect season and regardless of what happens a perfect season has happened 1 time in over 100 years and this season is only half way through. Every chiefs game has been close late in the 3rd or later where it was only a one score game. Quote

I believe I can even smell your manly musk through the speakers of my computer, and I must profess a willingness to follow you to the four corners of hell carrying a six pack if you so desire. Well done, Sir. Well done indeed. Go Bill! I really don't have a hatred for the Dolphins. I just find the idea of the players always talking about popping out the champagne once the last un defeated team loses a game rather obnoxious. Add to that I did find that team extremely boring. They were truly the last 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. So really my dislike is 100% directed at the players on the 72 team and maybe any fans that join in their yearly celebration. 1 Quote

Still lucky team and getting calls and non calls late in game It was blocked and almost ruined the finish to the Bills game as I had my ticket open to the four game option. I swear the entire team eats lucky charms on Gameday. The only we can do as fans is we’re allowed to look ahead as we’re not on the team, but just root for a W this Sunday. Quote

DCofNC Posted November 11 Posted November 11 KC’s luck will run out, just a question of when. They aren’t a dominant team, they are just getting a lot of good breaks and timely mistakes by opponents. I still think they are the favorites to win it all, but I’d bet they lose one if not 2 or 3 before the playoffs. I’m up in the air if I want the Bills to beat them or not, it’s great, but if we are locked in to a lower guaranteed seed and rest some guys going into the playoffs, I see that as better than fighting to the bitter end of the year with #1 seed delusion. Warcodered Posted November 11 Posted November 11 The Chiefs have literally been flirting with disaster all season. All it would take is one missed payment to an official. Quote
GoBillsForeverAndAlways Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Gonna be very interesting to see how the rest of this season plays out, especially this Sunday. That could be very telling as to what will happen in the seeding race Quote
