dollars 2 donuts Posted November 11 Posted November 11 (edited) …that as much as the Bills have owned the Dolphins franchise recently and how since the end of the 70s streak Buffalo is 56-39 against them the ‘72 Dolphins (and their fans) last real hope this year to drink Champaign (Patriot regular season aside) is to cheer for the Bills. Go Bills* (* normally it’s me, now it’s them) Edited November 11 by dollars 2 donuts Quote
Saxum Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Or Chiefs could go to Superbowl and flame out like P*ts infamous 18-1 season. I knew someone who got hold of a 19-0 P*ts championship T-Shirt. I was cheering for Jiants in that Superbowl and won a bet. 1 1 Quote

thronethinker Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Almost every Chiefs game has been close. This isn’t their last obstacle to a perfect season and regardless of what happens a perfect season has happened 1 time in over 100 years and this season is only half way through. 1 1 1 Quote
chongli Posted November 11 Posted November 11 (edited) Chiefs should have lost to Denver yesterday. Kicker misses a chip-shot FG. They got super lucky. Then the game Sunday would have been for first place in the AFC. Edited November 11 by chongli 1 1 Quote

If you go back and rewatch the play it looked like 3 or 4 Chiefs players could have blocked it. Terrible job by the Broncos OL. 1 Quote

Yes agree that you are not what your record says (perfect in this instance). You can very much be different. Obviously KC is a tough matchup. 1 Quote
mjt328 Posted November 11 Posted November 11 The Chiefs were literally a toenail away from going 0-1 in the first game of the season against the Ravens. They needed a BS pass interference penalty on 4th Down to beat the Bengals in Week 2. They needed yesterday's FG block to win against the Broncos. Not to mention the Falcons game, where Atlanta was driving for the go-ahead score and got stopped 4th-1 on the 13 yard line. Or the Tampa Bay Bucs game that went into overtime, and they won the coin flip. Everyone is acting like Buffalo is the final hope for stopping them from an undefeated season. But the Chiefs have barely scraped through all season long. They still have the Chargers, Texans and Steelers after us. And they have struggled in the past against division opponents like Las Vegas and Denver. Also don't forget that Cleveland upset the Ravens after switching to Jameis Winston. 4 1 1 Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted November 11 Posted November 11 (edited) If the Chiefs get to the SB and are 18-0, I will root for them to win it as I'm really sick of hearing about the 72 Dolphins every year. To me that 72 team was the most boring football team of all time. BTW, I rooted for NE in 2008 for the same reason, to shut up the 72 team. Edited November 11 by Ed_Formerly_of_Roch 1 1 2 1 1 1 Quote

The media seems more invested in an undefeated season than the team is. I wouldn’t be surprised if they start resting players after locking up the #1 seed. 3-peat is a much bigger accomplishment than an undefeated regular season. Ask the ‘07 Pats if being undefeated in the regular season is all that. 1 Quote

Seven of their wins were by 7 points or less. Easily could have had some losses depending on how the ball bounces. Quote

As a Bills fan it is kind of a turn on. I believe I can even smell your manly musk through the speakers of my computer, and I must profess a willingness to follow you to the four corners of hell carrying a six pack if you so desire. ExiledInIllinois Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Funny thing is... Bills lost to the Fins @ the Orange Bowl in 1972, 23-24. That's probably OT today with 2pt. conversion... May have been a loss or tie... Close games while leading were easier to win back then. 57 minutes ago, ganesh said: The Chiefs are not perfect...They just happen to be the team with the best record in the NFL today. And luckiest. Better to be lucky than good. Mahomes has more called back, overturned INTs than Brady had during his whole career. Quote

Go Bills* (* normally it’s me, now it’s them) Bills-Dolphins was my favorite rivalry as a kid. Kelly vs. Marino… Looking back there was something fun about those Miami teams with Marino, Richmond Webb, Duper & Clayton, John Offerdahl, Keith Jackson, Louis Oliver and later Bryan Cox etc. The fins were very talented but the Bills always had their number. I also think Don Shula kind of sucked as a HC by 1990 too and Marv who was never really a cerebral X-O’s HC always seemed to out coach him in the playoffs. Part of the reason why the rivalry fell off was because both franchises failed to find a decent head coach/QB resulting in perpetual turnover. The Bills seem to have found stability…Miami? To be determined. 1 Quote
