This was suppose to be a rebuild year

there could be an argument it is a 'soft' schedule, but you don't have a choice on who is on your calendar. it still is a first place schedule based on last season the way the NFL does things.

Which is ironic because I saw all of the predictions that the first 6 games of the season would be tough and this was a super challenging schedule as a whole.

The reality is the NFL has a lot of mediocre teams this year

In general QB play has been at the level of backups

I think this thread is extremely premature.

Let's see how these next 4 games go and what happens in the playoffs.  If the Bills go 11-6 and lose round one, it will then be labeled a rebuilding year.

Are you drunk at 8:42 am or something?

Buffalo's strength of schedule is currently 3rd easiest in the NFL and 2nd easiest in the AFC.  It's a first place schedule with 6 games against the moribund NYJ, MIA, and NE.  And who are those first place teams they'll play?  BAL, HOU, KC, and DET, whom they're 0-2 against and have yet to play the latter 2 teams.

This season still is about winning in the playoffs and the best predictor of that is how you fare against good teams.

Your record is what you are and 8-2 is good.  It's also deceptive in the way that 7-3 was at the same juncture in 2019.

Three of those games were against Jets and Miami who were supposed to be better. Everyone knew the real tough stretch was these next four games.

The Bills were expected to finish 3rd in the division and miss the playoffs.  That was considered a rebuild year.

Were the bills not supposed to play the games they won?  Why not when the bills win their games the fans of the team find these foolish reason to downplay everything?

Would you like them to petition the league to not play the jets and pats in December and ask to play the ravens and chiefs again so that they can get wins that boost their power rankings or something?

the history of the league is filled with good teams beating up bad teams all season.

its not about who or how, its about how many and right now its 8.  Hopefully they can get it to 13 and be the number 1 seed

I like your attitude.

I don't know why so many people are like, we need one more offseason to really finish off this roster for a real run.  Why?  We're 8-2 and when healthy this team can absolutely beat anyone in the playoffs.  We almost beat KC last year in the playoffs and when everyone is healthy, this team is better than last year.  So why can't we beat them now?

And when you have Allen as your QB anything is possible.

We are sill less talented than last year. Rapp for Poyer is a wash. Morse for McGovern is a wash. Davis for Coleman is probably a short term downgrade but long term upgrade. Hyde to Hamlin is a downgrade. McGovern to Edwards is a downgrade. And obviously Diggs to Samuel is a massive downgrade.

The oline is not as good as last year but I think that is more due to Dawkins and Torrence playing poorly at times.

RB group has been improved.

Add it all up and Allen is the primary reason they are 8-2. Everyone said his turnovers were overblown but that was total nonsense. It was a massive problem and he had been much much better. That said he was awful in Houston and was the primary reason they lost that game.

I would add one other thing. Coaching is better. Second half adjustments are much better this year. Don't forget the retooling also included a new DC and an OC that had a full offseason to work on the offense.

However the insistence on running the same plays on first down is developing a pattern.  He better have his A game ready for the Chiefs defense.

Agree, the play calling was awfully predictable during the Colts game at times, but we won by ten points over a feisty team that very much needed a win, same can be said about the Miami game, they gave us their all, and we won both games, it’s a good sign that we can tuff out wins  even when we are riddled with injuries, I am very psyched about our overall chances!

(gotta get our team healthy)

GO BILLS!!!
