VW82 Posted November 15 Posted November 15 My working theory of the inexplicable lack of defensive gameplanning this season is that McD is sick of showing his cards in the regular season and then getting outcoached in the playoffs when it matters. Offense is pretty beat up. Will McD give in and switch it up this week with some exotic blitzes, press coverages at the line, or bracket coverages to take away Kelse? 1 Quote
Ray Stonada Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Joe B's prediction: Prediction: Bills 23, Chiefs 20 ...Ultimately, I think this will be a push-pull game the entire way. However, with how well Allen is coming up with answers to mostly everything a defense throws at him, and with their run game prowess, I think the Bills will be able to challenge the Chiefs defense just enough to sneak away with a close victory, and a massive win for their potential playoff path. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5923855/2024/11/15/bills-chiefs-josh-allen-aj-epenesa-matt-milano-update/ 3 Quote

I get it whenever they talk about Allen and the offense, they talk about the passing game and Allen's leg. Last year even when Cook surprised everyone with the Dallas game, it is still kind of one-off, not the norm kind of deal. I really feel this year is different. Yes KC is good against run, but so are quite a few teams we have faced this season and we still ran on them. The one thing I don't think we are doing particularly well is blending the pass and run. It used to be RPO that Josh did fairly well. Recently it is more play action based - and it should be based on how Cook and Davis are doing - but the mix is not quite there yet. Too often a play action resulted Josh holding onto the ball with nowhere to go with the ball. I don't know it is the receivers not selling the block (Gabe Davis was really good at that), or Josh is too greedy looking for big plays. None of the guys on TV watch the games unless its primetime or playoffs. Let that sink in. Quote

Its all prepped for them by a support member they have on their broadcast team and they just read the prompts. Its clear as day when you pay attention and start to really notice how wrong they are with stats or other items. 1 Quote

The refs can't call him for 40 penalties a game, so he gets away with it. It is actually a pretty brilliant strategy when you know you are dealing with idiot refs. Wasn’t that the same type of strategy of the Legion of Boom in Seattle? Rough up the receivers every single play and take your chances with the penalties they do call because they can’t (won’t) call em all. 2 Quote
Playoffs? Posted November 15 Posted November 15 I am highly concerned about Kincaid, Coleman and potentially Cooper and Brown being out against this Chiefs D. My fear is that it’s too much to overcome. I hope I’m wrong. Don’t want Josh to start having to revert back to hero ball. No doubt he’ll make some plays regardless though. That Chiefs D is winning them games.. Quote

transplantbillsfan Posted November 15 Posted November 15 I just picked up Knox for my Fantasy team... I think he's gonna have a big game. Cooper is probably playing. He pretty much said so the other day. Quote

I will say, having this game late in the season, and already having 8 wins in 10 games is a big relief if we lose. Last year we NEEDED this game to have a shot at the playoffs. This year, we are really only likely NEED this game for a hope at the 1 seed. Even with a loss, the 2 seed is still very much in play considering Pitt/Balt and Houston's schedules. Kind of nice. With that said, I hope we wreck them! 2 Quote
