I feel like if the Bills lose this game, they have a better chance when they meet in the playoffs. BBFS.

go bills

I think that's because we presume that this game will just end up being practice for the Chiefs offense against this defensive personnel/system.

These 2 organizations will have played each other 9 times in 8 seasons since McD got here.   They might as well be division opponents.

And McD is 4-1 against Reid in the regular season but the McDefense gets speedboat in every playoff matchup.

At this point........I'd hope that McD and Babich know they have to be able to make broad adjustments against the Chiefs in the playoffs.

How about the throwbacks? Those are so clean and haven’t been worn in a long time

That would be cool, although they only seem to wear all-white when they go with the throwbacks. I'd like to see them wear a blue jersey instead.

If Allen has any shot of supplanting Lamar as the MVP favorite, the Bills NEED to win this week, and Allen NEEDS to play great.

After last week's game, he's too far behind Lamar statistically & got blown out in the head to head. But to end the Chiefs' undefeated streak & beat them when the Ravens couldn't? That would carry a lot of weight.

Obviously, winning a SB is the priority, but the chances of doing that while losing to the best 3 AFC teams you've played isn't very good. That being said, if we lose, the Bills will be in a very weird position.

They'll still have the division locked up, yet have next to no chance of getting the 1 seed unless the Chiefs collapse. At that point, you don't have a ton to play for, so it might just be better to protect key players as much as possible while letting the injured ones heal up until playoff time.

the ever changing standards to which Allen is held is hilarious

preseason the talk was 'well, if he can keep the Bills competitive for the division w that roster he'll be an MVP favorite for sure'

now we are 8-2 and Allen's taken a marginal offensive cast and turned them into a respectable offense while putting up top3 efficiency figures...now it's 'well he's not outplaying Lamar'

newsflash: Allen is probably not going to win an MVP in Buffalo. it's not a priority of the organization

The outcome of Sunday's game has almost no bearing on Buffalo's super bowl chances, win or lose. There will be nothing weird about their position in the event of a loss.  8-3 heading into the bye is a pretty good spot to be in.  The narratives will of course be that Buffalo is a distant 3rd in the AFC after losing to Baltimore and KC but November narratives mean very little in January.  Even with a win I don't think we are in a great spot for the 1 seed because KC's remaining schedule is much easier than ours.

Beating KC in the regular season hasn't meant anything in January the past few years.

If Coleman or Cooper are anything less then 100% rest em up. Anyone for that matter. Bye week and two Patriots matchups mean we probably win 10 regardless.  Heal up

I think Andy just "plays with his food" every time we face them in the regular season.  Then when we meet in the playoffs we get the full Reid experience.

I guess it comes down to whether or not they think they can get the one seed if Cooper is say 50/50.  Coleman's already ruled out.  Kincaid is pry out.  If Cooper can play without a cast I think he goes.  You have the bye week to rest up.

They’re using a rendering of the new stadium in their graphic. I don’t even think it’s a Josh Allen picture.

With the time difference that will be an 8.25 start Monday morning in Sydney - just perfect!!

For a fan, the outcome of this game will be frustrating either way. If they lose, KC owns them, etc. If they win, it's "Who cares? KC will win when it matters."

Best attitude: Beat them now, ignore the noise, and beat them even worse in January.

Still a shot at the 1 seed and the buy. Hand the chiefs a loss and they still have chargers, raiders, texans steelers broncos coming up and we hope the drop a couple in there. It's a long shot but it's a shot

If not, that is where the hot seat gets really really hot, at least with most fans.

I don't get all the either-or discussion about beating KC in regular season vs playoffs.  Why not both?

Maybe.  We’re the last team that has a legit chance to beat them.  Reid wants to join Shula so he’ll be full in.  If we beat them with Coleman and Milano out, I like our chances in the chase for the trophy.  Josh will have to throw for 300 because they won’t let Cook get 50.

This is actually gonna be a stress free game for me personally.

Win and ok, awesome- Probably a step closer to the 2 seed as I still don't see the bills passing KC with the bills tough schedule and KCs easy schedule.

Lose and nothing changes much. Still a very good chance to be the 2-3 seed

Yeah.  Not as hyped for this one as the usual Chiefs game.

The AFC East is already locked up.  So playoffs are not at risk, and we are pretty much guaranteed one of the Top 4 seeds.

Even if the Bills win on Sunday, they will still be a game behind for the #1 seed.  With upcoming games against the 49ers and Lions, it's not like we have any easy path to win-out either.  We are probably looking at a 14-3 or 13-4 season at best... and unfortunately that probably isn't going to be enough to catch them.  The Chiefs aren't playing great and don't have a cakewalk the rest of the way.  But they are already 9-0.

Getting the #2, 3 or 4 seeds is a toss-up at this point, because you don't know how they will matchup with the Wild Card opponents.  Theoretically, the #2 seed could end up drawing the Bengals, while the #4 gets the Broncos.  Homefield doesn't mean much to me either.  January wind/cold can be just as much of a disadvantage to us.

Not to mention... the Bills have beaten the Chiefs in the regular season three years in a row.  But they are 0-3 against Andy Reid/Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs.  I would almost rather let our injured players heal and save our best gameplan for a potential postseason rematch.

It ‘should be’ a fun game with lots of hype but I see little in the way of a ‘must win’ scenario here. I’m actually hoping this all sets up so that the Ravens play at, and knock off the Chiefs in the second round, meaning the Bills would host Baltimore in the championship game. So winning this game has little to do with that other than putting us up on Baltimore in the race for the Two Seed.

I agree with almost everything said except I think their remaining schedule is about equal to ours, in terms of difficulty.

I also think people are overrating the difficulty of our remaining schedule. SF is not what we thought they were. And I feel too many are giving LAR undue credit based on their past success.

Yes the pedigree of some still scares me, but their records are their records at this point.
