Time to take down the Chiefs for the fourth regular season in a row and give them their first loss of the season.

There is good news for Buffalo on several fronts when KC comes to town next Sunday.  One, Buffalo faced a team today that has a defensive line that resembles KC's in some ways.  In particular, DeForrest Bruckner is about as close as you'll find to a clone of Chris Jones as you'll find in the league.  Second, Buffalo's major weakness on defense is big time running backs. KC is not weak at RB.  Kareem Hunt is a proven winner who can get tough yards and catch passes, but he's not the physical freak with size to truck linebackers like Derrick Henry or speed to outrun DBs like Jonathon Taylor possesses.  Buffalo should be OK with their 4-2-5 personnel package defending the run.  Hopefully Cooper will be back for KC though it sounds like Coleman is going to miss another week.  Also, hopefully, Kincaid's injury doesn't keep him out of the KC game.

Yesterday the CBS crew said they are doing the show from Buffalo and not the studio in NYC. This game is special even though both teams have their divisions almost clinched.

6 teams in the AFC are all but locks to make the post season and the seeding is fairly predictable as well.  It got me to thinking about some realistic ideal scenarios :

Projected Seeding:

#1 Kansas City

#2 Buffalo

#3 Baltimore

#4 Houston

#5 LA Chargers

#6 Pittsburgh

#7 Denver

First Round Matchups :

- Buffalo should handle a team like Denver.

- I would love to see Pittsburgh face Baltimore , i could envision an upset.

- I believe the chargers would beat Houston

2nd  Round:

- I would love for a scenario where Los Angeles goes to Kansas City. I could see Harbaugh giving their division rivals all they can handle.

-I think there's a real possibility either the steelers upset the ravens or the chargers upset the chiefs. as a bills fan I don't want to have to face both the ravens and chiefs.

I'm not nervous about this game because I don't think we are healthy enough at wr to beat them, so it's all about seeing the team do the best it can.

I just feel like the 2 or 3 seed is a near certainty, and the 1 seed is a near impossibility, so playing strongly in defeat and then getting healthy for the end of the season is acceptable.

On game day I reserve the right to retract these rational thoughts and go ape at every little thing.

We have to get more creative in the run game. By that I mean look to run outside more. Our insisting to always run between the Guards hamstrings us IMO. Also reduces a solid skill set from Jimbo that would be strong/ fast pushing out to the edge.

the steelers are the most complete team in the league on all 3 facets. they are a capable team and able to beat teams at will by playing their best football.

Still pissed about that blocked FG and that we should be playing for 1st seed.

I know its easier said than done, but so critical to try to be up by more than one score late in the game to prevent KC (and the refs) from "finding a way to win"

Given our next 4 games and KCs record, the 1 seed would be a very tough ask. However someone needs to prevent KC from having an undefeated season.  Denver had them beat this week but it didn't happen.  The Bills need to make it happen.

Well, as long as we win all our playoff games KC can’t go undefeated.

Part of me doesn't care that much because I think regardless the Chiefs will end up the 1 seed and we've won plenty of regular season games against them only to fall flat in the playoffs. But a bigger part of me hates the Chiefs with everything I have and don't want them to go undefeated and wants to beat them down every single time we play.

Still bugs me that the idiot qb in kc ran around the bills visiting locker room last year saying they wanted it and they got it.

Can’t stand him or stupid Andy Reid.

really hoping they find a way this week.

just like yesterday the conference wins are going to be huge at the end of the year because kc Buffalo and Baltimore have all played each other.   Same with Houston so conference record is going to break some ties.

this is a huge game because they should win the rest of their afc games.  So their conference record is going to be important.

Don’t be fooled by the dumb regular season doesn’t matter narratives.

The regular season wins are extremely important for playoff confidence. This one is at home too where we haven’t beat them yet.

Let’s get it done. Ready for a lot of stupid narratives to end Sunday (weak schedule, we can’t win, better to lose, etc)

If they win, see you in the playoffs. If we win, see you in the playoffs.

The game matters but does it feel like previous regular season matchups with KC? It doesn’t for me. It’ll be a playoff atmosphere. I’ll be fired up, but no matter what happens I’ll still say see you in the playoffs.

I've noticed I'm in the minority here. I'd rather them come in here riding high than put down low. They're a winning team, experienced, seasoned, well vested, and capable. They come in with a taste of defeat in they might be a little more primed for a win. They may be a little more amped. Not saying they aren't going to show or honor come to play but they know they can lose this game it won't mean anything right now.

I seem them much more likely to lose a game later.

@panthers - should be a get right game after this week regardless of the outcome

Raiders - in division games are always  a wildcard they won by 1 score

Chargers - against a divisional opponent they already faced in a one score matchup to win

@browns - their defense is good, their offense is unknown. They're a stingy tough AFC North team who just played the Steelers before and play the Bengals after

Texans - maybe they get right by then

@steelers - I am pounding the table - they're the most complete team in the league. They finish the season strong. I see this as the most likely loss the Cheifs have remaining, even over us. I think the Cheifs overlook a team like this.

@broncos to finish. Those week 18 upsets are always fun.

The Cheifs will lose 2 games there. 4 if date works fairly because they have been lucky.
