Ultimately, the hope is he’s just a placeholder until Carter gets back. McDermott was asked directly about Ankou multiple times and he just didn’t really seem impressed with him despite the good All-22 reps. Buffalo Ballin
I still cannot believe we're here at 8-2. Holy crap! We have a lot of youth and inexperience on our side and, yet, we're right here. - Von Miller out - No true number one WR - Milano out - Damar Hamlin emerging as a balla - Josh Allen with a messed up left wrist I thought we were going to Wild Card. Man. I'm looking wrong and that looks great.

Why risk an injury esp a big guy who is hurt a lot and was earlier this year. I actually commented on this live in the game thread and thought it was funny tbh 1

I heard a quote in the last few weeks spoken by Raheem Morris: “Stats are for losers.” That’s a bit harsh but… Lots of fans care more for stats than winning, which reflects fantasy, gambling, Madden, etc. Surely the NFL likes it that way cuz it keeps fans super engaged. But for others, the only stat that matters is Wins and Losses. And championships. Josh is putting this team in position to compete legitimately for the Super Bowl. Who the hell in their right mind cares if he has a couple of bad throws! Edited Monday at 12:11 PM by The Helmet of 3 1

Defense is flawed and can be ran on. Hopefully we are close to full strength come playoffs and can force some turnovers like today. Offense is going to need to put up points and avoid the continued slow starts which in turn will help the defense. Here is hoping Cooper gets healthy and becomes integral part of the offense. Defense will look better playing out in front with a lead. Edited Monday at 06:59 AM by billieve420

Hard to imagine McDermott will be pleased to see the replay of Phillips give up on that play so brazenly. And on 4th and 8...garbage time or not, that's a bad look

I get playing to the whistle but that’s just silly to me. The game was over.

Flacco doesn't throw to an open receiver if Phillips runs at him throughout the play. He gave up so early and completely that Joe got a way longer play than he should have. Regardless of situation, it was a bad look. "Blasting" him was far from the only alternative to quitting on the play.

Danger Mouse
question for those of you played: allen was getting punched in the head on his sneak, and I've seen this a few times - punches being thrown the head of a guy wearing a helmet does that hurt at all? you'd think it's more likely to break your hand than bother the person you're punching. but i'm not too familiar with the gear. i suppose if someone like miles garret hits you full force, it's going to have an effect no matter what you are wearing ... but it just sort of looks futile. Depends on what part of the helmet you get hit in. Those shots he was throwing yesterday near the bottom of the helmet can leave some marks just below your jaw. That said, it's nowhere near the impact of getting hit with another helmet.

It doesn’t hurt at all with a closed fist. A smack because of the vibration could give you the bell rung feeling. A smack on the head ear hole could hurt a lot because of the suction effect.
