Targets for Virgil, Shavers and Hamler

I'd love to see Virgil get some targets. He's 6'1 210 with 4.4 speed.

They used him in motion and the run clear out routes. Would like to see if he can make some plays.

Nice numbers for Virgil, saw he ran as low as 4.37.  But how about this for Shavers:  “Shavers does not compare to anyone Alabama currently has on their roster. He is unique in stature and speed,” Luginbill wrote of the 6-foot-6, 202-pounder. During The Opening regional in Dallas, he recorded a 40-yard dash time of 4.38 seconds.

And Hamler's fastest time is 4.27.  None as fast as Keon Coleman of course!

Got enough guys already to spread the ball around, don’t need to target them intentionally. If they’re wide open, then sure-but they shouldn’t be the 1st or 2nd read on any play

Gotta treat them as if they are part of the offense.

And honestly, why not target them? Samuel has done nothing so see what you have in the PS guys in a live game.

The main point I’m trying to make (and clearly not well) is that they shouldn’t be considered focal points. Brady shouldn’t be calling plays where Virgil or Shavers is the intended target. If Josh sees a matchup he likes that’s one thing, but barring even more injuries there shouldn’t be more than about 2 targets total to these guys. They’re playing a team that is terrible at covering the TE and the Bills have 2 more than capable guys. For a team that values trust so much, it would seem odd to give the PS guys much

No, I understand what your thoughts are.

I get you don’t want to gameplan around a couple of PS guys.  I agree to a point. Feel they should see what the guys can do, especially Virgil as he is now subject to waivers if he is to be demoted to PS again (I believe he is as he was signed to the active roster).  Need to see what he brings to the team.

I have not been this excited about a journeyman getting targets since the Duke in 2019

Duke would thank you personally, but he had to work a Sunday shift at the Rymal Road Canadian Tire.  They're always busy these weeks before Christmas. 🎅🙁
