Richmond_Bills
Hi All, Super pumped that I was able to score tickets for Chiefs game (for free no less). Heading to town from Richmond, VA - leaving early Saturday morning. Staying at the Staybridge Suites in West Seneca and want the full Buffalo experience for Wings and Beers, etc on Saturday night. I'd love to hit one of the highly recommended spots, but after driving all day, etc. I don't want to have to endure a super long wait to get in somewhere. Any recommendations around that part of town (don't mind driving 15 minutes as well) for the experience that I want? Thanks in advance! Your local pizza joint, order by phone/internet and eat them at the curb. Fo-get about the popular joints if you can't wait super long.😆 Edited Sunday at 02:13 AM by ExiledInIllinois
QCity
Bar Bill in East Aurora and Duffs in Orchard Park will likely be the two most recommended. Better call ahead and there will be a wait on a Saturday night before a home game, as everyone coming into town wants to do what you're doing. EmotionallyUnstable
You won’t be too far some some of the South Buffalo joints along the wing trail… Blackthorn, Doc’s and 9-11 https://www.visitbuffaloniagara.com/content/uploads/2022/09/Buffalo-Wing-Trail-Brochure-2022.pdf

US Egg
There’s a place about a mile away from where you’re staying called “The Ridge”. Two turns out of your hotel and you’re there. It’s newer. Lots of room. Big parking lot. Craft beer, TV’s, bar, booths, tables. Only been there once, wings were good. Friendly environment. Only catch is they close by 10. Also, there’s a couple grocery stores and a liquor store a minute away, in case you’re looking for game day supplies. Maybe you’re aware, if not, there’s a couple ways to get to the stadium from where you’re staying. I’d recommend taking nearby Abbott Rd. and park in an Abbott Rd. lot before the stadium, which you will see. It’s definitely easier and quicker to get back to your hotel afterwards. Because it's more of a bar food... There's literally a hundred places you can get good wings at from cheektowaga or depew or South Buffalo or Kaiser town etc I can go to wiechecs or a hole in the wall like the Clinton lounge and get great chicken wings at the end of the day Wiechecs is a really good restaurant though that makes a lot of good food

Close, but I wouldn't consider it SouthSide. More EastSide (to me)... Even know lumped in w/South BFLo. Germans closer to East Side Polish than SouthSide Irish... lol ...Yet, Kaisertown it's own distinct neighborhood IMO... But if you gotta put it on a directional axis... I'd say East Buffalo... Since BFLo River/Creek and below is hard define south... Everything north more East Side. Cayuga Creek through the east. Oh... Then again there's that silly thing of Germans closer to Polish, yet... Don't think they wanna be lumped it with the Irish on SouthSide either.😆 Let's just call Kaisertown it's own private little Idaho!😉 1 hour ago, Buffalo716 said: Because it's more of a bar food... AND they use GRAVY for the beef on weck! cc: @Gugny @Mike in Horseheads Germans/Polish gotta fatten you up somehow!

Lovejoy definitely Eastside neighborhood Ktown while TECHNICALLY North of the River as you said , I don't think it really aligns itself with the East side anymore It's really only a couple minutes from Seneca Street South Buffalo It is definitely its own neighborhood but it definitely feels a lot closer to South Buffalo than the east side in regard of the feel of the neighborhood now Technically you're right it would be like lower East side or something
Wacka
I'd say Kaisertown aligns itself with Cheektowaga now. My mother grew up there (born in 1926) and it was definitely mostly Polish through the 80s. Area got its name because the Germans first settled it. The Poles moved in after WWI. My mom said they moved there in the late 20s. Just over the city line are extreme NW West Seneca and extreme SW Cheektowaga. Still feels like the city until you reach the Thruway. Mr Info
I am from RVA area as well and will be up for this game. This is my suggestion and may do it again for this game as we did it on Sat for the Fins game last weekend. Since this a late afternoon game, arrive promptly when Gabriel’s Gate opens @11:30. Then you should be able to get a bar spot. Sunday brunch will be available and you can toss some of their wings in with it. Plenty of time to enjoy arguably some of the best wings in Buffalo at the bar of a cool place to eat and make it to the stadium easily in time. The bar location is far better than the tables @GG. You can watch 1:00 pre-game NFL on one of the big screen TVs. Edited Sunday at 02:16 PM by Mr Info
