Sorry, but no, Bass is still a huge question mark, and could be a fatal flaw in the playoffs. Prior to that great kick, he missed an extra point. Then clanked ANOTHER extra point off the post. After the extra point he barely made, he mishit his kickoff, allowing a return at the worst possible time. So three consecutive shaky kicks, then one spectacular kick, and problem solved? I don’t think so. Thank you for your insight. What do you recommend? Quote

No, that is what you assume people think, we all are concerned about Bass dude. It does not change that kick and the awesome moment it was. Quote
Bockeye Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) Come on - you can’t knock Wide Left for this post. Bass is still a concern and he’s just pointing it out. JohnNord has the reasonable take - it’s a concern, but let’s wait and see. Hell - Coleman is a concern and I’m a huge fan of his and was at FSU, but he needs to catch the damn ball when he’s active again. If you want skittles and rainbows, go buy a puppy. The only thing I recommend is what my OP stated - it’s not that hard to comprehend- nobody should be convinced that the inconsistency displayed by our kicker this year, and towards the end of last year, is solved, suddenly, by him making a 61 yard field goal. Especially in the same game where he missed an extra point & barely made another. For so many fan boys out there, reality = negativity. 1 Quote

I don’t think so. We know that he’s our kicker for the rest of the year no matter what. Whatever is going to happen to this team, bass will be kicking FGs and XP. We don’t know what the outcome of the kicks will be…. And we know that making threads about it is just a waste of time. Why spend your minutes alive crying on the internet about a kicker? Ffs people. 1 1 Quote
juno999 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 To the OP, I was at the game on Sunday, and the Bills bench went crazy in a good way, after Bass' kickoff that bounced around the 3 yard line. I believe it was intentional and not a mishit. Quote
notpolian Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) I actually think Bass' kicks have looked like they have less "slice" on them in the last couple games. Earlier in the year, the ball looked like it was moving a lot side to side. It seems quieter lately, which is good. Koo for the Falcons is the ideal in this regard, he doesn't have a big leg but he hits it very straight. And even he missed an important kick recently I think. I am pleasantly surprised Bass won us a game before losing us one. Zeurlein really helped him out a few weeks ago though. That being said, each week my score prediction accounts for one missed extra point. 😁 Edited November 9 by notpolian Quote
artmalibu Posted November 9 Posted November 9 If McBean thought there was a better kicker available they would sign him..... Quote

QCity Posted November 9 Posted November 9 He's not wrong, but I'm pretty sure there's like 3 other Bass threads that could have been bumped. 1 1 Quote

Peace Frog Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) Agent K: "Look, Wide Left, to keep the Chiefs from losing a chance to threepeat, the NFL will destroy all other teams hopes." Agent Zed: "And whatever fan base follows them." Agent J: "We're talking about Bills Mafia." Agent Zed: "Sucks, huh?" Edited November 9 by Peace Frog 1 Quote
Billsatlastin2018 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 If his kick comes down to winning the Lombardi, would I rather have 5 other fabulous NFL Kickers? Do I think the Bills should search for a superior replacement for 2025? Yes & Yes! But in the interim, Bass ain’t going ANYWHERE! He’s it and seems like a decent guy. Let’s all get behind him, for the big kicks coming on the back half of the Season! Quote
