Bruffalo Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I'm pretty sure they would have brought him in by now if they thought he was a viable choice. 1 1 1
Goin Breakdown Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) It's seems to me that if he did it would have to be now in order to get up to speed and game shape. I voted yes that he does come back but again it would have to be soon if he wanted to be affective by playoffs. Edited November 8 by Goin Breakdown
Gregg Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) No. Both Hyde and the Bills have moved on. IMHO. Edited November 8 by Gregg 2
MikePJ76 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 No. Its november 8th. Why would they go that route at this point when it would take like a month to get him ready to go anyway.
GunnerBill Posted November 8 Posted November 8 It's still a don't know for me. I don't think it's impossible.
Clyde Smith Posted November 8 Posted November 8 No! Get Bishop up to speed or bring Cine up from PS. 1 2
strive_for_five_guy Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Depends what happens against the Chiefs. If it’s demonstrated that safety is hurting our ability to beat them, he rejoins the team during the bye week. 3 1
MJS Posted November 8 Posted November 8 If there is a significant injury to one of the starting safeties, I can see it happening. Otherwise, no. 1 4
JP51 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Yeah I feel like if he was coming... he woulda been here... at least by now and especially when they released Edwards.
BullBuchanan Posted November 8 Posted November 8 He's been washed for a long time. I'm not sure he's an upgrade over what we have now. 1
Saxum Posted November 8 Posted November 8 IMO Hyde is interested but like many veterans is more interested in playoffs / championship / Superbowl. These days there are a number of veterans who do not want to play whole season when previously they would sign up near end of training camp or preseason games. I think this partially due to extension of season. Physically I do not think he would perform at levels he expects from himself for entire season but for 4-6 games he could be an asset for Bills. 1
machine gun kelly Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I placed yes, but only contingent on Rapp or Hamlin having a significant injury. Otherwise no. He doesn’t want to be a backup, amd he won’t breakthrough these guys. PFF ranks these guys as a a top Safety tandem. They’re not perfect, but we are fine with youth, and efficient. A big injury and he’s plug and play.
Ethan in Cleveland Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Hope so. Bishop has had almost no playing time. Do we really want him as the primary backup going into the playoffs against Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow, Herbert, or even Wilson?
Beast Posted November 8 Posted November 8 They have 3 safety’s when you consider Lewis is TJ’s backup in the nickel back situation. They will be adding another safety at some point. Hyde makes the most sense.
davefan66 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I said yes in the preseason. Unless there is a complete breakdown with the guys we have, or worse, he’s not coming back. Would have liked the locker room presence. Don’t think he’d start and not sure he’d want to on the bench. 1
