US Egg
2 hours ago, Rich Stadium Original said: A.) Chiefs lose to Denver this week..Bills beat Colts, and the Chiefs the week later. Bills now #1 seed. They play hard the rest of the season to keep #1 seed. Starters aren't rested. Players play through injuries. They get their 1st round bye and home field, but limp into playoffs health-wise. B.) Bills lose to Chiefs who pretty much lock up #1 seed. Rest of AFC East continues to implode and Bills clinch very early. They will play at least one playoff game at home. They rest a LOT of players, and given the time to heal, they enter the playoffs as healthy as they have been for playoff games in years. C.) 1st round bye, no limp. If they have most of their starters, and are playing to their potential on both sides of the ball, I like their chances against anyone in the AFC. and the NFC, too. I can't see the Lions sustaining this much steam and energy by the end of the year. It will be a good test in a month against them. Beyond them the Packers are a pretty complete team that are formidable.
Ga boy
I’d take a 1 or 2 seed. If game 17 is to get 1 seed, go all in, otherwise rest everyone even if it means 3-4. If Cooper is healthy and can play in cold weather, then we’ll be cookin’. Has he had big games in those conditions?

The way McD runs his team, I expect us to grind it out, all the way through week 18 with the mantra if getting better every week. That's just his style. It would need to be that we are locked in seeding wise, and week 18 is completely meaningless, in order for McD to sit starters. In my opinion of course. msw2112
I realize it's a cliché, but all the BILLS should think about this week is beating the Colts on Sunday. They need to go 1-0 this weekend. Then on to the next game. That said, I realize that this is a message board where people are free to express their opinions and debate topics and FANS looking ahead on the schedule doesn't harm the team at all.... dma0034
I mean the best probable scenario is the Bills finish as the 2 seed and play the trash #7 seed (hopefully the Broncos or Jets). The Ravens beat the #4 seed Texans and the Bengals lose to the #3 seed Steelers. THen you get Ravens @ Chiefs and Steelers @ Bills. Let the Ravens and Chiefs battle it out. Bills beat the Steelers and the winner of those two and play in the Superbowl.

See what you are trying to say, but there is also a difference between "rest" and letting injuries heal.

"resting your starters" typically isn't used to describe letting injured players heal. it's simply giving everyone a game or 2 off before the playoffs. paulmm3
Byes and home field advantage in the playoffs are very important if the last six years of Bills playoffs have taught me anything.
Steptide
I'm probably in the minority here, and Ofcourse I hope I'm wrong, but this isn't the bills team I expect to do much in the playoffs. I mean, beat kc, the lions and rams, and maybe I'll change my tune, but I just don't see this current roster being the team that gets us there 🤷

But the Chiefs have to be one of the worst undefeated teams I've ever seen. They remind me of the 2020 Steelers. They started 11-0 and then lost 4 of their last 5 (including to the Bills) then got blown out in the playoffs. Their first loss that season was to a Washington team that was 4-7-1 at that point. Flawed teams eventually get exposed
