Governor Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) We will have at least 3 more losses.1 random loss, KC, and Detroit. Just stay 1 game ahead of Ravens. Edited November 8 by Governor 1 Quote

BrooklynBills Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) Realistic best case scenario IMO based on remaining schedule and our injury status is to grab the #2 or #3 seed while being able to load manage certain guys down the stretch (not a pure resting of guys but rather being able to err on the side of caution with playing guys thru injury) and hope that Baltimore and Pittsburgh beat up on each other a bit and Houston ends up in that other #2 or #3 seed. That likely gets you a WC round home game and then play Houston in the divisional round either home or road while Baltimore and KC play each other in divisional round. Toyo321 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) Until we get healthy with our top wide receivers and D you can expect at least 2 or more losses to come. You can't compete with KC or Detroit and SF if you are not at 100%. These games are going to be ugly for the Bills. Honestly be so strapped by the salary cap this year, it's amazing we are even talking about even the potential of this team posting a 5 or 6 loss season. I really do know about the playoffs' though. We have to be near 100% healthy to even consider an AFCCG appearance and possible win and I just don't see it with our D this year. The D for the first time in a long time is not close to championship caliber play, by any standards. Edited November 9 by Toyo321 Quote
Billsatlastin2018 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Inexcusably losing that game against the Texans, is the problem. The Chiefs play inferior teams the rest of the sked, aside from an even match v.s. the Bills. Aside from that one in 2 weeks, they play Chargers at Home, Steelers Away. That’s it. Bills, because of injuries, need to muscle through- tomorrow! Then the gauntlet of Chiefs, 49ers and Lions! Soooo unlikely to be #1. #2 is an easier route and at least, you get 2 Home games at Highmark. Quote
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Bills lose one more game to the Lions in regular season finish 14-3. But still only get the two seed, KC (16-1). Wild Card: Host Bengals W Divisional: Host Ravens W AFCCG: @ 1 loss Chiefs W Super Bowl: vs. 1 loss Lions W Greatest post season run/gauntlet defeated ever? Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Assuming the Bill's beat the Chiefs, there's very few teams who have gone 16-1 so whether they lose to Denver or whenever, they will lose another game or two. But likely so will the Bills. Ask yourself this, last year at Thanksgiving, how many people thought the Bills would get the #2 overall seed? Quote

A lot of things can happen good and bad and we have no clue which teams let alone how they will be seeded. To me thats what matters most is who do we get matched up with. It's never too early to discuss a topic on a message board. Playoff seeding and posturing is stuff that is discussed in the offseason even. People just get confused sometimes and think they HAVE to read and involve themselves in a topic they don't have a fully formed opinion on yet. Or they forget that anything that's said on here has anything more than entertainment value. OR, in the extremely delusional scenario they think that things said here somehow jinx or encourage a negative outcome. Message board posting is an extreme form of nerdery. More than X even because there is a lot more consequence for expressing your opinions. I mean, it's not too early to start talking 2025 schedule yet now that we know how the 2024 divisions are shaping up and likely opponents. Where is @corta765? Quote

Where is @corta765? EXACTLY!! Cannot believe soon to be superstar Drake Maye and newly signed Tee Higgins are going to tear up their feeble 4th place schedule leading the Pats to the division and maybe the 1 seed! We are screwed. McBeane out!! Quote

Haha appreciate the shoutout I usually don't jump on the horn until seasons end. One thing then NFL is being very coy on is the 17th game as the first 4 year rotation is over and now they want 8 international games next year. There are growing rumors that the 17th game will be a "home international game" and if the NFL can get to 8 international games they can basically get half of the conference over in 2025 and the other half in 2027 (vise versa for NFC). We are def playing at HOU home KC at this point in 2025, the interesting thing is the AFC North as even though BAL is rolling PIT is somehow right there and could easily take the division although we play the AFC North regardless as a division next year. 1 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted November 11 Posted November 11 I don’t believe catching the Chiefs is realistic unless Mahomes goes down. The Bills schedule is pretty difficult. I think that they probably lose a couple more games even if they beat the Chiefs. I’m not sure that the Chiefs have 2 or 3 other losses left. With that being said, the 2 seed is very much in play. The great part about it is that the NFL reseeds. I think that you hope for Denver/Indy/Jets/Miami in round 1. There is a chance that Baltimore or Cincy (if they get the 6th seed)is the lowest seed left after round 1. If that’s the case, they’d go to KC. The Bills could end up with Pittsburgh or Houston in Buffalo, in round 2, if things worked out perfectly. I would say that’s best case. If Baltimore or Cincy wins in Arrowhead, the Bills would host the AFC Championship against them. So, in this case, your path might be Denver, Houston and Baltimore, all at home. That feels about as good as you’re going to get. 3 1 Quote

The Colts have a much easier schedule - that is why yesterday's loss hurts them badly. The Steelers have to play the Ravens twice, the Bengals twice, the Eagles and the Chiefs...That is a pretty tall order...but they are a seasoned team Quote
