I have lived it where in 2019 I could find pork roasts for 1.99 a pound and now all are 3.69 a pound. I am well off m because I always find value, therefore cost is important to me. I remember my dad buying gas in WNY for 35 cents a gallon. No one thought milk would ever go for $1 per gallon nor bread for $1 a loaf. And we ate wonder bread. Lord knows why. Never forget that we were just a Supreme Court decision away from needing to take an experimental unproven vaccine in order to have a job and survive. I saw many friends and acquaintances who I would have previously seen as rational and nice people say things on social media that made me think that i was in a dystopian parallel universe. I didn't understand how people could get to the point of turning in neighbors for hiding Jews in Nazi Germany until COVID happened. It was a sad wake-up call on just how dark human nature can be sometimes. Edited 1 hour ago by dgrochester55 2
