Ravens v. Bungles TNF Gamethread ( Please leave your Bills' observations at the door ; -)

Bengals. The Ravens are looking scary to me. I feel good enough that the Bills can shred the Bengals D if they manage the playoffs which is no sure thing. Bengals have two games vs the Steelers and other wild card hopefuls in the Broncos and Chargers so it's not like they have an easy road if they split with Baltimore

I want Cincy to win. I´m still optimistic that we can beat KC and they will lose one more and we could finish first in the conference.

I want the Ravens to win. Bury the Bengals. The Ravens already have 3 losses. If we want the 1 or 2 seed, we can't lose more than 1 more game the rest of the way and maybe not even that. So I'll take my chances that the Ravens pick up a 4th loss somewhere else and would rather the Bengals be gone

I’m rooting for Cincy. The Ravens have the better record and the tie breaker over us right now. I think Cincy is more likely to pick up some Ls the rest of the way.

Serious question.  The knee-jerk response is probably "Cinci" but I think I'd prefer to see the Bungles dead and buried.  Burrow and their offense worries me more in the playoffs than the Ravens (W4 result notwithstanding).

Thoughts?

This is exactly how I feel.  I know it was a couple of years ago, and there's been a decent amount of turnover for both teams, but I still haven't been able to shake the beatdown that they gave us in the playoffs. Regardless, they feel like the tougher out in the playoffs.

Bengals for playoff seeding purposes.  We do not want to be 4th seed.

I do not want to face either team in the playoffs, but given the choice I'd rather face Cincinnati.

Go Bungles.  I like the idea of Pittsburgh winning the division.  Baltimore is ahead of the Bungles, so a Bungle win helps even things out and makes the path for Pittsburgh easier.

I would rather see Cincy dead and buried.  Burrow is a QB we have had a hard time slowing down.

Plus I would love seeing arrogant Burrow knocked out of the playoffs.

Cheering for Cincy, I’d rather Ravens pick up their 4th loss, to help with our playoff seeding chances.

EDIT: Also can’t stand the Lamar hype train.

Get ready for the Burrow hype train who even now is getting MVP buzz which will only grow if he beats the Ravens.

I am going Ravens...What I don't want is to have BOTH Ravens and Bengals to make the playoffs.  Having one of them, in this case, hopefully the Bengals given they currently are under .500, miss the playoffs would be a best case scenario.

So looking at Ravens tonight to win this game and keep Bengals on bubble and getting close to needing to win out to get in.

Cincy is the boogieman. More than KC even. Don't wanna see them in the playoffs.

0-3 against this version of the Chiefs.
0-1 against the Burrow Bengals.

If it’s avoiding one or the other, the Chiefs have to be the choice.

For me, it's a toss up, and I see good/bad with either outcome.  I just hope it's a very physical game with a lot of hard hits!

I say root for Cincy, for the following reasons:

1.  The obvious, Balt has the tiebreaker over the Bills.  Want the Bills seeded above Balt so if rematch it is in Buffalo.

2.  Want all AFC North to have to play hard week 18.  Pitt has a hard schedule so the wk 18 Pitt v Cincy game will be big but Balt could skate - I don't want that.

I was going to put the Lamar hype train is annoying but then I thought I dislike the whole Joe Cool thing too.  I do like King Henry though.

All in all, it doesn't matter much, I want to watch a hard fought, exciting game.

Definitely rooting for the ravens.  The bengals D got destroyed early on largely in part to missing 4-5 of their top DL.  They’ll be a true threat come playoffs and I’d rather have a lesser team make the playoffs.
