ColoradoBills Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Bengals still have to play the Steelers (2), Chargers, Broncos. Ravens have to play the Steelers (2), Chargers, Texans and Eagles. Those games will go a long way in determining who makes the playoffs in the AFCN. Right now, the Steelers are in first BUT that is not going to last. They might not even make the playoffs. They have the Ravens (2), Bengals (2), Chiefs, Eagles, Commanders and Browns (2). I have to think the Ravens end up the AFCN champs. I guess having them lose tonight might help the Bills. Bottom line for me is someone will lose tonight and there are way too many scenarios to worry about. Enjoy the game because there are a lot of games coming up where someone will lose just like tonight. 2 1 3 Quote

Would rather not get stuck with them in the WC Round if we can't hunt down KC for the 1 seed. Counterpoint is a 4-6 Bengals team isn't buried. They just become another team right in the thick of it... and outside of KC, Baltimore is my second favorite team to watch lose. I agree I think the seven seed is going to be 9-8 this year. Maybe even more he six seed too. Bengals would very much still be alive. imagine Bills having to go through Bengals, Ravens, Chiefs in that order to get to Super Bowl. 1 1 Quote

If the Bills do end up playing the Ravens in the playoffs, then at least the game would be in OP. See my post above. The Steelers have a brutal schedule. They have beaten weak teams. I don't see them winning the AFCN at all. 1 Quote
Mat68 Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Bengals have a further way to go for the 1 seed and their division. Ravens have a leg up on Buffalo with the head to head win. Im going Bengals. 2 Quote
RobbRiddick Posted November 7 Posted November 7 I'm rooting for Lamar to throw 3 or 4 ints because he's running away with the MVP race and Josh isn't going to get a sniff 1 2 1 Quote

Buffalo is unequipped to deal with a power running team that can hit you in the mouth. Any team that runs a base Nickel with undersized DTs is going to struggle in that situation, and the Ravens were built in a lab to beat up on defenses like Buffalo’s. The Bills have dealt with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens much better in the past, with the same or similar defense and personnel. That game just got away from them. However, the Bills have not had any success against the Bengals to speak of. 3 Quote

However, would love to put more distance between Ravens for seeding...and also, and this can't be overstated, I really really don't want the Jets to make the playoffs. If Cincinnati is out there aren't many teams between the Jets and playoffs. If Bengals lose and Bills beat the Colts, and the Jets win, they would be tied for 8th in the AFC. They would only trail Denver...and I don't trust the Broncos. Interesting take.... ok i am buying this cause I hate the Jets... go Cinci Quote
Ballhawk Posted November 7 Posted November 7 (edited) I am firmly in the rooting for the Ravens category. Their running attack against our nickel defense in the playoffs scares the **** out of me. While the Bengals have hurt us in the past, I'd rather take my chances with our nickel defense trying to stop their passing attack. Plus without Mo Dixon in their running game, I think our D has a chance to slow them down. The Ravens against us, as we saw, is a complete mismatch. I am praying the Ravens have to go through the Chiefs to get to us in the playoffs. Edited November 7 by Ballhawk 1 Quote

Burrow and their offense worries me more in the playoffs than the Ravens (W4 result notwithstanding). Thoughts? IDK E-Man. Baltimore having another loss makes it even harder in the playoff standings, and the Bengals aren’t even close to the team that beat us in the playoffs. Their defense hasn’t stopped anyone. The Ravens would go to 6-4, and the Bengals still 5-5. With the Steelers at 6-2, they don’t remotely scare me so a better division winner. I don’t care for some of the Bengals players who try and creat us against the world over and over again in the media, but we keep climbing higher for the #1 seed with a Baltimore loss. We beat the Chiefs and we’re only a half game behind them. That to me is the better scenario. It would be nice to finally get the #1 seed as two of the last three years, 13-3 amd can’t get higher than the 2nd seed. 2 1 1 Quote

MikePJ76 Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Both offenses are excellent and imo both defenses are just ok. Don't want to play from behind bs baltimore because of that running game and you don't want to be in a shootout with the bengals because of their abilities in the passing game. Long way to go before thinking about playoff matchups but if the bills and either team is healthy The Bills style of play favors playing the bengals, Taking the ball and sitting on it and winning T.O.P. while also scoring a lot. A one dimensional bengals team with a just ok defense seems to be a good fit for the Bills as they are currently constructed and the way they play. 1 Quote

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Absolutely want Ravens to lose! Seeds and Bengals are not the same team they were 2 years ago. Quote
julian Posted November 7 Posted November 7 So it’s a win win for us no matter what, those are my favourite games to watch. 1 1 Quote
Charles Romes Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Bengals. I’m looking at KC as the 1 and Bills as the 2. Burrow will beat KC in the divisional but Bills get revenge the next week in Buffalo Quote

That’s my take that we are a better matchup for the CURRENT Bengals than the Ravens. A big “if” is do we get everyone healthy, at least the starters and don’t underestimate a thriving Milano in the lineup. That is NOT an indictment of Williams which is great depth, and after Milano’s contract is up in 2 years, we have our Wil LB. If we end up with 3 losses and the Ravens 4, that’s a good thing. There’s always the outside hope we end up with 2 losses. That would be a miracle facing KC, SF, and Detroit. Detroit concerns me the most. At least the Chiefs and 49 WRs are at home with our 12th man to help. 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Ravens for sure. Anybody that's watched Burrow against McDermott's defense should know that we want Cincy out of the playoffs entirely. Burrow is probably the best QB in the league at dissecting zone defense. McDermott has never shown a willingness to adjust his scheme against him, so I want no part of that in the 1st round. 5 1 Quote

If the bengals win tonight and the steelers win sunday well the Ravens are in a dogfight to win the division and not to get to deep in the weeds here but if the Ravens were to lose tonight and then lose next week at pittsburgh....Well baltimore is probably playing just to stay in a wild card spot at the chargers on monday night football in a few weeks. that is a lot of stuff happening but if the bengals win tonight they have a split with baltimore and it opens the door for the ravens to step on the banana peel going forward. 1 Quote
