HIT BY SPIKES Posted November 7 Posted November 7 I have NO clue what this area of your blessed country is known for food-wise. Rather than succumbing to the use of Google, I thought I would ask my Bills Brethren if they are doing a themed menu for this game and if so, what will that be? Quote
Bills!Win! Posted November 7 Posted November 7 (edited) Indianapolis is the most forgettable sports city in the country. What do they do there besides the Indy 500? Do they have a football team post Peyton? I know nothing about their food or culture Edited November 7 by Bills!Win! 1 Quote
Marlton Bills Posted November 7 Posted November 7 I broke down and googled it…pork tenderloin sandwich sounds good! Add a Hoosier pie and I think you’ve got something! 1 Quote

Add a Hoosier pie and I think you’ve got something! Pittsburg does the pork loin with garlic Rob on a crusty Italian if I recall. Made them last year. I took a look at my fridge just now and got enough leftovers to feed an army — Risotto made with Duck Soup, Charcoal Grilled Duck Legs, Grilled Thick T-bone Slices, Beef Stew, Chicken & Beef Broth, 3/4 lb Hand Formed Chicken Burgers, Grilled Turkey Wings, Grilled Turkey Backs, Grilled Yellow Peppers… I may have to just eat leftovers or re-purpose them for this game. 2 Quote
BillsPride12 Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Never been but the only thing I know of that Indy is known for is that St. Elmo's Steakhouse. Might be a good weekend to throw some steaks on the grill and do a Shrimp cocktail 2 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 7 Posted November 7 My family used to live out there when I was in college and I spent some summers working in the area. i like Indy. Clean downtown, friendly sports fans (huge bball town, with only a minor interest in football). But it is a pretty non-descript food town. If there is a food I associate with the area, it’s probably like Amish-type food— like homemade noodles in butter. 1 Quote

It’s a great sports town with many special events and colleges nearby. You have a point with the food maybe. Quote

BillnutinHouston Posted November 7 Posted November 7 It never ceases to amaze me how much time, money and thought some people put into food. It all ends up in the same place whether it's prime rib or fruit loops. 1 1 1 1 1 Quote
Mr Info Posted November 7 Posted November 7 I periodically consult in Indy. Always try to include a Wednesday night layover so I can visit Slippery Noodle Inn (the oldest bar in Indy) for blues night. It’s free and has good bar food. Quote

hondo in seattle Posted November 7 Posted November 7 I used AI and got this... Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich: Often considered the quintessential Indiana dish, this sandwich features a pounded, breaded, and fried pork tenderloin served on a bun. I graduated from Purdue and remember nothing about the Indianapolis or Indiana food scene. 1 Quote
