Saxum Posted November 6 Posted November 6 https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-kicker-tyler-bass-named-afc-special-teams-player-of-the-week-week-9 Buffalo Bills K Tyler Bass was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after kicking the game-winning field goal against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. Although he has won Player of the Month three times, this is Bass' first Player of the Week award. Note: no wonder I could not find it when I searched - first time. 11 Quote

MJS Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Good for him! What's forgotten is that he made two other 40+ yard field goals in that game. The missed extra point was bad, but he came up clutch on the field goals. Quote
Saxum Posted November 6 Author Posted November 6 He previously won AFC Special Team Player of the Month in October 2021 and November 2022 and September 2023. He has won in a September, an October and a November. Next is December hopefully. 1 Quote
Yobogoya! Posted November 6 Posted November 6 We can’t say for certain he’s turned the corner with consistency yet, but that was just an all time awesome moment for that kid and he deserves to feel on top of the world this week. 3 5 1 Quote
The Wiz Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Has a kicker ever won the award after missing an XP in the game they awarded it for? 1 Quote
Sweats Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Nice to see it for him. He was crying in his post-game interview and i myself got a little choked up for him (not to the point where i was bawling my eyes out or shedding a tear, but you know the feeling you get when you "zip up" a little too quick and "stuff" gets caught?......yeah, kind of like that). 1 2 Quote

Mister Defense Posted November 7 Posted November 7 (edited) Great to hear this. Bass will make some big kicks in the post season. Like I said previously, the best thing I have seen related to that monster kick was Sam Martin repeatedly kissing him on the sideline after he made the kick, after picking him up in the air. Just like an (affectionate) father would do to his son after a great moment like that. Showed just how close this team is, a great sign. Compare the Bills, this year and over the last 7, with a team like the girls, with every man for himself. Edited November 7 by Mister Defense Quote
eball Posted November 7 Posted November 7 That GW FG was as pure a kick as you will ever see. Good lord, it was straight down the middle and would have been good from 70. If that doesn't give Bass his mojo back nothing will. 1 1 Quote
Just in Atlanta Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Hopefully his demons are exorcised and we can root for him again. Quote

His problem has been between the ears so let’s pray he’s back in it, and not second guessing everything he does. 1 Quote
