You're assuming the selections are solely because Trump likes someone on tv. I'll repeat that which we both know to be true---the non-tv, eminently qualified folks in the Harris-Biden circle of trust have shepherded us to the brink of war, have badly botched the fallout of the Hamas incursion into Israel (and giving them the benefit of the doubt, presumably they didn't know of the attack in advance), overseen and have us running full tilt toward $40t in US debt, and most importantly, completely embraced the chaos and anarchy at the southern border----and lost the faith of the majority of American voters. This is why we are here. If Ross Geller is available, I strongly believe he should get a look. 1

POETIC JUSTICE: Trump Names COVID Skeptic Dr. Bhattacharya, Who Was Censored by Biden Admin, to Head NIH Donald Trump has announced another appointment to his administration, and it's a good one. If you don't recognize the name Dr. Jayanta Bhattacharya, we told you about him a few years ago. He was one of the COVID skeptics who was censored by Biden's collaboration with social media and he sued as part of Missouri v. Biden. As Dr. Bhattacharya was right in his COVID skepticism, this is a VAST upgrade from Fauci. Chi and Frankish need to know if Dr. Jay even has a tv?
The Frankish Reich Posted November 27 Posted November 27 A quick scorecard: Solid picks/no complaints: State: Rubio. Normal mainstream pick/failed Presidential candidate. Experience on the appropriate Senate committee. Speaks Spanish is a plus. Treasury: Bessent. Normal mainstream pick/uber-wealthy investment banker. George Soros guy, has made a lot of money on seeing things coming. Interior: Burgum. Same as Rubio. Always goes to a western state pol. Nothing to see here. HUD: Turner. This seems to be the Trump "put a Black guy in there" department. Unlike Dr. Ben, has shown interest in the field, working on opportunity zones, etc. And yes he is the only Black nominee. Surgeon General: Fox TV doc. a largely symbolic office that is all about public communication. So here a TV personality works. Chief of Staff: Wiles. Could've been a Matt Gaetz type. Pat Summerall's daughter, which is probably preferable to John Madden's daughter. Elections have consequences, I'll take my medicine like a good boy: VA: Collins. Who? That's the point. Apparently worked on the Trump Georgia election challenges, but I'll forgive him for that indiscretion. Labor: Chavez de Remer. A typical Democratic nominee. Checks two boxes (Dem + Hispanic). Trump's attempt to curry favor with unions. OK, fine. Energy: Chris Wright. Oilman. A little concerned about lack of experience with other major Energy things (nuclear), but again ... elections. Economic advisor: Hackett. Nice guy. Even though economists struggle to hit .500 with their up/down, bull/bear projections, an abysmal track record ... EPA: Zeldin. Did I really think an environmentalist would get this job? I could have stomached RFK Jr. here, but not there. OMB: Vought. Back again. Trump is responsible for lying about Project 2025, not Vought. It's what people should've realized they were voting for. UN Ambassador: Stefanik. Pulling a Nikki. Watch out JD for 2028, But she is smart and apparently a hard worker who has now gone full suck-up mode. Really bad picks: Ag: Brooke Rollins. Not the place for a pure political consultant. Farmers should feel insulted by this dump job. DOT: Sean Duffy. A dumber Buttigieg. No business running a major Department. DHS: Noem. Interior was right for her. DHS is too much for her. Someone other than a pure sycophant needed for this job. Another "watch your back, JD" Trade: Some guy named Jamieson Greer. Seems a little too Trump tariff-happy. At least he's not Peter Navarro. CIA: Ratcliffe. Whatever. He was gonna resurface somewhere. This is some kind of a sick joke, right? RUFKM?? Justice: Bondi, Gaetz the Lesser. She is nominally qualified, but getting this job after committing to prosecute her predecessors at DOJ is a disqualifier. Period. DOD: Hegseth. A huge Department that requires personnel management policy guidance experience, of which he has neither, even if he is just a horndog and not a rapist. Commerce: Lutnick. The consolation prize. Way, way too conflicted, particularly with his Tether crypto cheerleading now. No reason to have this guy in government. You gotta ask "what's in it for him?" Fought tooth and nail to get Treasury, so he really, really wants in. Education: Linda McMahon. Enabler of sexual abuse (you did have to blow Vince if you wanted to be a WWE girl), steroid abuse, you name it. No apparent qualifications for this job, just like she had none for SBA. Campaign contributor dump job. Wasn't the Ambassador to Bahamas available? Medicare/Medicaid: Dr. Oz. Why? I mean, why would he want this? A drudgery for even the wonkiest, and that sure ain't him. HHS: the ultimate choice. RFK Jr. Drug abuser (but he says doing heroin did make him a better student). Addict. Phone sex participant DURING HIS CAMPAIGN. Nanny harasser. Dead bear cub depositor. Spreader of conspiratorial mis (dis?)information. Utterly unqualified for the job other than the negative qualification of being an anti-vaxxer. Buffoon who makes Biden's voice sound powerful. 1 1

This should be an interesting 4 years of trump doesn’t get impeached first. For example, Bondi. Let's say DOJ really does try to prosecute Jack Smith for something or other. It is really, really difficult to prevail on some kind of selective prosecution/prosecutor should have recused type of claim. But pledging to prosecute Trump's political enemies before being selected opens the door to that. 1

An art collector is chosen to lead the navy? LOL 😂 No experience necessary. Just line trumps pockets with money and you too can lead a department for the US govt. will he decorate all the air craft carriers with expensive paintings? Any artists on here? Maybe you can have your art on a navy ship!

B-Man Posted December 9 Posted December 9 VDH: What the Trump Nominees Have Not Done — And Will Not Do. Deflated by the resounding November defeat, the left now believes it can magically rebound by destroying President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees. Many of Trump’s picks are well outside the usual Washington, D.C./New York political, media, and corporate nexus. But that is precisely the point — to insert reformers into a bloated, incompetent, and weaponized government who are not part of it. Trump’s nominee for FBI director, Kash Patel, is already drawing severe criticism. His furious enemies cannot go after his resume, since he has spent a lifetime in private, congressional, and executive billets, both in investigations and intelligence. Instead, they claim he is too vindictive and does not reflect the ethos of the FBI. But what will Patel not do as the new director? He will not serially lie under oath to federal investigators as did interim FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a current Patel critic. He will not forge an FBI court affidavit, as did convicted felon and agency lawyer Kevin Clinesmith. He will not claim amnesia 245 times under congressional oath to evade embarrassing admissions as did former Director James Comey. He will not partner with a foreign national to collect dirt and subvert a presidential campaign as the FBI did with Christopher Steele in 2016. He will not use the FBI to draft social media to suppress news unfavorable to a presidential candidate on the eve of an election. He would not have suppressed FBI knowledge that Hunter Biden’s laptop was genuine — to allow the lie to spread that it was “Russian disinformation” on the eve of the 2020 election. He will not raid the home of an ex-president with SWAT teams, surveil Catholics, monitor parents at school board meetings, or go after pro-life peaceful protestors. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2024/12/06/what_the_trump_nominees_have_not_done_--_and_will_not_do_152053.html 1

ChiGoose Posted December 11 Posted December 11 One would think that after Trump appointed millionaire after millionaire, billionaire after billionaire, to supposedly fix the system that made them so stupendously wealthy, that MAGA would question whether or not he actually planned to follow through on populism for the average American. Now that he's announced that he's going to replace probably the most populist leader currently in the federal government with your run of the mill pro-business swamp creature, it'd be hard to justify still believing the populist rhetoric. Trump is open for business, and business is good if you're already at the top of income bracket. Trump names Andrew Ferguson as head of Federal Trade Commission to replace Lina Khan
