AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted November 6 Posted November 6 They could’ve just signed Gabe Northern and Erik Flowers if washed, ineffective defensive linemen are what they’re after 1 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I’d like to see Ankou on the 53, but seems that won’t happen 1 Quote

stlbills13 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I think they want to keep Ankou. If they sign him to the 53 now, he'd probably need to be cut when Carter, Smoot, and Milano come back. Jeffferson and Phillips are experienced short term moves in my opinion. 2 1 Quote

Not a crazy add this late in the season unless you think we should bring up Kingsley Jonathan or sign someone off someone elses PS? So I don't know what the Bills thinking is, but Jordan Phillips is a 1TDT and Quinton Jefferson is kind of a "tweener", guy who can play both DE and DT. I'm not sure that either would be a good replacement for Smoot at DE. 1 Quote

We also still have Kingsley Jonathan, who will probably see some call ups. As for the Tackles, one will replace Dewayne Carter's spot on the roster and the other will take Eli Ankou's place from his Practice Squad call-ups being used up or having only one more game to be called up. That seems plausible. Von Miller return from suspension also fills reps. My point was to @The Jokeman who suggested that Phillips and Jefferson were added to replace Smoot. Quote

My point was to @The Jokeman who suggested that Phillips and Jefferson were added to replace Smoot. FWIW, Joe Buscaglia seems to think that Jefferson is the direct Smoot replacement. A guy who can play DE on base downs at times, then kick inside to 3T on passing downs. That's what Jefferson did the first time around. I'm not saying he's right or wrong. I don't think that just automatically assuming he'll fill the same role he did four years ago is necessarily a safe bet. But...I can see where Buscaglia's coming from in that thought. 1 Quote

I'm guessing Eli stays on PS as an insurance plan. Only because we didn't cut any DTs. Quote
shane nelson Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Phillips played really well here, was that scheme or his talent. We should know soon enough Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted November 6 Posted November 6 You guys can say you don't like Jordan Phillips but he has as many threads as Josh Allen on the first page. Quote

He does bring excitement and probably great in locker room. Yet he's still living off the fumes from his first year here when plucked him from waiver wire. 5 minutes ago, DJB said: I was referring to yesterday. Buffalo Boy Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I hear they paid Phillips a Cheeseburger….. with a side of fries Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted November 6 Posted November 6 We need both to try and create pressure up the middle and help shut down the run. I want to see Solomon on the field more on passing downs vs. Miller. Quote
