I think Phillips is 60 pounds and several years away from being that player.  He is a shell of what he was in his glory days with the Bills.  He was a shell, albeit a fat one, in his last stint here.  More of a guy who is just going to hopefully clog up a lane now.

@GunnerBill you were right, he has put a hypnotic spell on Brandon Beane.

He'll Pancake on his face and wrist and be done within a week or two. He was really good for us at one point though.

It may have more of a positive impact than you expect.  These guys can bring energy.  Jefferson is a pretty good player IMO.  6 sacks last year I believe. He can play DT or DE really

 

Phillips can randomly just destroy the pocket on passing downs.  We are getting almost 0 pressure up the middle

Joking aside, they’ll definitely help short term.

 

Ive always liked Phillips in Buffalo but he’s so unreliable health wise. I was excited the last time they signed him.

Completely agree. I love Jefferson as depth once Carter/Smoot return. Feel free to release Jordan any time, assuming he doesn't get hurt before that.

Both are familiar with their roles and should have no issues getting back up to speed.  Makes a lot of sense from that standpoint.  Honestly would have preferred Lawson tho over Phillips as he is a great edge setter and run defender.
