Mat68 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Quinton Jefferson over Phillips? Haven’t followed much of either. Seemed like Jefferson flashed a little with Cleveland when I watched them. 1 Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I think his stint with us, we played him out of position a lot...at the 1T. Maybe the second marriage is more successful? Quote

But I am glad we signed him instead of Phillips. 1 Quote
Allen2Moulds Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I know he was missed by Seattle fans when he left, but I remember him being a disappointment here. Left us and went on to have a good year with the Jets last year. Very meh...too me. Would've loved to see a trade for a run stuffing type. Jefferson does not help us there. Quote
Cash Posted November 6 Posted November 6 IIRC the articles when we signed him the first time, seems like he might be looked at as a Smoot replacement? My recollection is that the plan back then was for him to play edge-setting DE in run situations and 3-tech DT in pass situations - which is the role Smoot has had this year. My recollection is also that injuries resulted in Jefferson playing a mix of 3-tech and 1-tech DT and never playing at DE. Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted November 6 Posted November 6 He hasn't played in a month for a team that is 2-7. I'd rather ask Suh to get off the couch and come play. We could use his nasty streak on the line. Quote
Back2Buff Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Jets fans have openly said how much they have missed him. I even think Belichick brought up how important he was to that Jets D and how he was missing this year. It's not a bad signing at all. 3 Quote

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Now go add Shaq and the fat kicker to the PS, and we are onto the Super Bowl! 3 Quote
BananaB Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Same Bills. Expect a heartbreaking loss to KC in playoffs 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Noooo why Jordan Phillips?? I really didn't want to believe it was actually going to happen. @GunnerBill you were right, he has put a hypnotic spell on Brandon Beane. 3 Quote
stlbills13 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Phillips will be cut once Carter is back. Jefferson is a good signing. 3 1 Quote
