Sadly people have to dig through the crap to decide who to vote for. Harris, like an idiot, decided on the last day to not mention trump or throw dirt. That was more than a little too late. She should not have been forced on people. That is on Biden and the Dems.

For all the messages I see bashing you and vice versa, at least you acknowledge the error in the ways.

Again, that party should be focusing the blame on themselves and their choice. Shapiro, Newsome or Wes Moore would have been the smarter choice. They would have had to put in more work as it’s essentially a fresh slate with little campaign time but would have resulted in what might have been a better chance.

These past 2 months very little has been party affiliated from and more focused on discrediting the opponent until, like you say it’s too little, too late.

Or they could just keep calling the majority of the country Nazis for the next four years

I was trolling. It was all in fun (for me). Like I’ve said when I realized there was no good conversation I was just having fun. We are not solving anything on here, I never once thought I would change anyone’s mind. People take message boards way too seriously. If I told you my screen names on Facebook, Twitter etc, I have no political posts for either side, not even middle of the  road’s commentary. I didn’t know if I would need to apply for jobs and I was told they check social media.

I have been telling myself for weeks to stop trolling but i couldn’t stop.

I do have 1 comment that I'm curious what you all think. If in theory it was partially latino support that pushed donald over the finish line in this election. HOW could they, in good conscience, by voting for him would mean deportation of women children and families of people of their own ilk?

I just don't get it. At all. *shrugs*

and one last word on Trumps to do lost when he arrives in office.  Do you not see how these deportations could themselves become deadly conflicts in our own country?  Federals vs immigrants. Because I think what they will be doing is heartless and cruel and maybe just maybe they will resist.

I trust him as far as I can throw him. He is a liar, a narcissist, a cheat, a rapist, a master conman and I think he being in office will change what democracy is Forever.. as well as a phony a man of faith a Ive ever seen.

He is his own IDOL to MAGA and it makes me nauseous to think of the future. Golden sneakers TRUMP BIBLE are you kidding me?

I do have a glimmer of hope. There was a man named  Saul whom on the road to Tarsus was struck blind and went from a persecutor of Christians to someone God used mightily in the scriptures  as the apostle Paul. God works in mysterious ways that I don't pretend to understand. But Thank God HE is still on the throne. NOT Donald Trump

There's your meltdown *curtsies*

Dude I’m watching this on your recommendation.

It’s actually more tame than I thought, given how they’ve talked about him the last 4 years…Sure, Sonny and Joy are visibly upset, but I can respect that they are keeping it relatively classy…

The reason you're confused is because you forgot to use the term "LEGAL" immigrant.

That’s a great question and it can be summed up in one response, at least to me.

They don’t define themselves as Latino or an ethnic group, per se but rather as an American who has heritage of ____.

The younger generations don’t seem to be fixated on snap judgements to assert their beliefs or ideas from that demographic.

Great post muppy, all things are on the table. All we can do is sit back and watch. They will get what they deserve if some of the things you bring up happen. Believe me, God has nothing to do with this!

my husbands grandfather was an "illegal" alien whose son went on to earn a purple heart as a tail gunner in WWII for THIS country. Just sayin' the distinction isn't enough for me to not like the outcome of this policy.  JMO

This is a great question, and one that many people have misconceptions about…

People assume that if you’re Latino that you should automatically be for illegal immigration, if those people are of the same race…

The fact of the matter, is, in fact, quite the opposite…Latinos who voted are American citizens- which means they, or their parents, or grandparents had to go through an extensive process to become a citizen…They had to sacrifice everything, to work their way up to where they are now…It means something to them…

Plus, American Latinos don’t appreciate that their hard earned tax dollars are going to illegal migrants, who did not properly earn the right to a citizenship, as they did…American Latinos don’t appreciate that illegal migrants are being handed everything after they had to work so hard to get to where they are now…

When you combine the fact that inflation has decreased their buying power, and now their tax dollars are going to illegals, it becomes clear why they voted the way they did…👍

Because the majority of naturalized Latino immigrants, those who followed the law and immigrated here legally, do not want illegal Latinos to be able to come here illegally and remain here.

https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2021/04/20/most-latinos-say-u-s-immigration-system-needs-big-changes/

A relatively high share of Latino immigrants who are naturalized citizens prioritize policies that restrict illegal immigration, even when compared with Latinos born in the U.S. More naturalized citizens than those born in the U.S. say it is a very important immigration policy goal to increase security along the U.S.-Mexico border (56% among naturalized vs. 39% for U.S. born) and establish stricter policies to prevent people from overstaying their visas (47% vs. 35%).

You don't think there is a difference between a legal and illegal immigrant?

That is why you are confused. The good posters above explain... with links!
