Current roster - 51 of 53 roster slots filled, 17 practice squad slots filled

Bills have no LBs on practice squad and I hope they put some on it and hopefully he is a heavier one. 

They do have all 6 LBs on active roster and usually only use 2 at a time on defense.

 

Javon Solomon is called an EDGE on Bills roster, played some DT when necessary and a DE on Sal's roster and is 3 pounds lighter than Von Miller who is a LB.

Von isn’t a LBer, he was just listed at that so he could wear 40 before the rule change. He's a DE.

To me Von appears to be an EDGE.   If Bills NEEDED to tag Von (unlikely) they could tag him for a lot less than a DE.

The max for the Practice Squad is 17. We're at capacity there.

Presumably it’ll be someone they can bounce back to practice squad when Carter become eligible to return, or is that a wrong train of thought to have?

Interesting that at the Fins game on Sunday he came out of the tunnel and was introduced as a LB.

Because that is what he is officially listed as. But he is unofficially a defensive end.

Apparently not with DT Jordan Phillips & DT Quinton Jefferson signed.

 

I still believe Bills should have put them on practice squad since they have not seen them play live unless they have scouts going to games to watch these players specifically.
