peterpan Posted November 6 Posted November 6 We have one bad game against the run, with Carter injured, and clearly the scheme and game plan was to let them run, and people are freaking out about needing to trade for a DT. Quote
JakeFrommStateFarm Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Bills run defense is 2nd worse in the league... 1 Quote

NFL is one sport where not every great player can fit on your team. you can’t interchange 3-4 and 4-3 LBs nor 3-4/4-3 DLs. Some OL/RBs fit well in some run/ blocking schemes but not others That’s what I find interesting when people want a player in Buffalo. Dude may be great with the team he is with, but may not fit our scheme. Or our locker room for that matter. Can’t say I know who is or isn’t a fit. 6 minutes ago, JakeFrommStateFarm said: Bills run defense is 2nd worse in the league... 7-2 I’m not a scheme guy, but clearly they were playing the pass against the ‘phins more than the run. Close, but we won. Edited November 6 by davefan66 Quote

Flip Johnson Posted November 6 Posted November 6 It's not about the run defense. If he was healthy for even a few games and could give 10-15 interior pass rushes a game it would make a difference. Are we excited about Austin Johnson and Eli Ankou on 3rd and 8? JP can crash the pocket when he is motivated and healthy. 2 Quote

Orlando Buffalo Posted November 6 Posted November 6 My memory of him is he was decent at getting pressure but often was bad on run plays, I want a good run stuffer. If I am wrong I will accept it but that is what I vaguely remember 1 Quote
SectionC3 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 It wouldn’t blow me away if Efe Obada found his way back here to fill in for a bit. I believe they played him a lot in one of the big packages (maybe against NE?) when he was here. Shaq would be a good Smoot replacement, too, but for the whole shooting at the hookah bar thing. Quote

Let them run, and win?? was extremely close. the Bills suck in the first / second quarter. that won’t cut it in the playoffs. that’s been obvious for years, and will continue as same. Quote

Cargo ships change direction quicker than Efe Obada. I don't think I could stomach him being on the field in Buffalo again. They'd be a lot better off seeing if Ndamukong Suh wants to come out of retirement before they did that. I suspect we will see more veteran players who are chasing rings released at their behest later in the season. Like when Houston released WR Kenny Stills late in the 2020(?) season and the Bills put him on the PS. Might even see guys like Jadeveon Clowney and Calais Campbell cut late(and probably both head back to Baltimore). EDIT: Clowney won't be released. I thought he was on a 1 year deal but he is on a 2 year deal. Campbell I could see being cut though. He is dirt cheap($2M for 1 season). He may have earned a raise next year with his play but for what he will get he will be able to choose his team and wait until after the deadline for the comp pick formula to sign there. So Miami won't have any reason to hold onto him, IMO. He could make a playoff run elsewhere and still return home to Miami for 2025 if that's what he wanted. Edited November 6 by BADOLBILZ 1 Quote

Reports saw Shaq Lawson cooperated with police and is not believed to have had any involvement the circumstances that led to the Jan. 6, 2024, triple shooting but posting false info increases likelihood it will show up in search - congratulations if that is your goal. 1 Quote

Aside from the fact that he was there at 1a the night before the division championship game. Quote
