Norcalbillsfan Posted November 5 Posted November 5 This man had 1 fluke season and seriously fleeced some teams, including the bills. 1 2 1 Quote
notpolian Posted November 5 Posted November 5 (edited) I actually think he has been a productive player for the Bills when he is NOT INJURED. He likes playing here and attitude does affect production. I'm fine with him as a cheap stopgap and insurance policy. Edited November 5 by notpolian 2 Quote
KingBoots8 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I say sign him to the practice squad and call him up if needed. See what he has in the tank and if he works in the system let him earn it. 3 Quote

The Frankish Reich Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Frank's Big-Bellied Defensive Tackle Rule: every big-bellied defensive tackle will have exactly two good seasons in an eight year career; you just never know which one and which season. I count exactly one good Jordan Phillips season, his first stint with he Bills. So the odds are in our favor. 1 Quote

He was literally always hurt though...so I guess sign him up for 4-6 games until he's back on IR? I would challenge him to get through a single game without getting injured. 1 Quote
davefan66 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Players seem to do well on our scheme. Shaq was very good, left and was terrible and did well back with us. I’d say the same for Phillips. Hope he can give us something. No problem with this as a stopgap until we are healthier. 1 Quote
FireChans Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Of course JP wants to come back. He wants to get paid. 1 Quote

Slippery Rubber Mats Posted November 5 Posted November 5 he played coy with messing with other teams but in the end we got our guy folks Quote
Mrbojanglezs Posted November 5 Posted November 5 He seemed to play decent here, maybe just a system fit. Would do it if it's dirt cheap. Quote

That's around the time Philips would get injured anyway. 2 hours ago, Process said: He was always bad as a run defender. Looks like he's worse this season. He always wanted to rush the QB, which he was pretty good at in spurts. Maybe obvious passing downs he could still do something. But I'll pass on this one. Quote

NFL is one sport where not every great player can fit on your team. you can’t interchange 3-4 and 4-3 LBs nor 3-4/4-3 DLs. Some OL/RBs fit well in some run/ blocking schemes but not others 1 Quote
Saxum Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Jordan Phillips when he was with Bills would hotdog being out of position with runner often going thru hole he vacated. On his 2nd time with Bills he was better at staying as part of defense plan. Bills DID contact Jordan Phillips but they wanted phone number of CB Andrew Booth who was also released. 2 Quote
