DapperCam Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Jordan Phillips was good for some nice QB pressures from inside. He was literally always hurt though...so I guess sign him up for 4-6 games until he's back on IR? 1 Quote

No way we already contacted him and signed him just like that. He's posting himself in a Bills jersey with the caption "run it back" because that's what he wants to happen. This is a bizarre mass delusion from the local and national media. It was announced 15 minutes ago. Doesn't mean he was told exactly 15 minutes ago. Could easily and likely have been told earlier in the day and the media looked into it when they saw what was floating around about him coming here. I just don't see a way that Ian Rappaport is retweeting something like that just based on the potential of the move happening on a player the level of Jordan Phillips. Quote
f0neguy Posted November 5 Posted November 5 If we can sign him for vet minimum until Carter comes off IR I’ve got no problem with that. 4 Quote

MasterStrategist Posted November 5 Posted November 5 We need to get thru 1 month without Carter. Then another without Smoot. Need bodies, Phillips if healthy can bring a little juice to pass rush. Something Ankou, Logue aren't gonna do much of. Just means we might be playing with less "light" boxes. With Taron back, I'm more comfortable going single high a bit more often. Quote

Im not saying your wrong but its very possible they released him earlier in the day and social media caught wind of it later in the day. I don't want him back either. Quote

And when Jordan Phillips was in the draft there were people who should have known better that were pretty sure he was going to be a stud nose tackle. Because he was like 340#. He never had the want-to to play low enough to be a 1 tech let alone a NT. And at his height it was more challenging. Eagles fans are finding out similar with Jordan Davis who has a similar build and athleticism. He's better getting upfield than he is at holding the point. Deone Walker the giant prospect from Kentucky in this draft has same issues. 1 1 Quote
pigpen65 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Love it. Phillips is awesome when he's healthy and the Bills need the help. 2 2 Quote
27yankees Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Maybe leaving a disaster of a locker room to Buffalo can motivate him Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 5 Posted November 5 My main memory of Phillips now is his hurting his shoulder as part of the 40-second Mac Jones scramble. I was trying to find the video of it, set to the Benny hill theme. 3 Quote
ColoradoBills Posted November 5 Posted November 5 If it's Phillips as a placeholder for a month and cheap............I guess it's okay. Quote

Haha; that’s number 2 for me! Guy gets injured on the most random plays that have nothing to do with actually playing defense. Quote

DabillsDaBillsDaBills Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Hate it. Phillips was washed up last season. This is as silly as bringing Beasley and Brown back in '22. Quote
henry jones Posted November 5 Posted November 5 He likely injured himself posting that pic. But honestly, could he be much worse than what we have on this roster? He seems to almost play ok with us and we need another body until Carter comes back. Quote
