MrEpsYtown
Let's just try to remember this in FA when we clamor for the bottom of the roster garbage. Dudes like this are dime a dozen players and vet minimum guys. MVS was interesting because of his size and speed, but you're still better off with young guys who cost nothing. Pay the elite players, everyone else is expendable.

Being a "fine/meh" player who never dresses can tank your next contract. The Bills signed him because he played well when called upon. He would have a hard time getting a shot next year without getting any film this year.

You're right, all grudges are rational and based in reason. My bad, 😀
LABILLBACKER
18 hours ago, vincec said: Another way to look at this is that they don’t let a players salary determine how much / whether he plays. If he was signed to start but is outplayed by someone else, then he rides the pine. I respect that. I understand that this is financially bad if it happens a lot, but I think it’s healthy in moderation to reinforce the fact that it is a meritocracy and you earn your playing time. Guess what, it's happened alot and cap wise is financially stupid. Over the last 3 years we've wasted millions of cap money to around 8-9 mid tier players who had little or no impact. That strategy is not sustainable.

So should they just play guys regardless of whether they're the best players on the team? Or should they just make sure never to miss on a FA? Everyone misses on draft picks and FA's. There isn't a perfect team out there. 3

It is possible that good teams choose to not overpay for these average FA and rather use their UDFAs or lower round draft picks.

So you’re just guessing that they do. I think its a fair statement to say you follow the Bills more closely than other teams so you don’t know their roster really that in depth.
