That's how this country was supposed to function So for women in those states that went back in time by 100 years after Roe v Wade was repealed - something Donnie simply can’t stop taking credit for - I guess if they get raped and get pregnant, they just pick up and move to a normal state, right? For the party talking about how the common working person is hurting so badly financially, that isn’t an option. Candidly, the “the power went back to the states” is a copout. But the abortion topic is one we certainly won’t change each others minds on, so let’s agree to disagree on this one. 1

Things as important as that should not be left up to individual states but the entire country because what if you cross state lines to get an abortion? A lot of states want to make that illegal. If it effects 50% of the population then it should be left to the Federal Government and not the states It's not your body. If you have had kids they have a brain and a heartbeat at 8 weeks. There has to be SOME kind of limit. Dems want no limit. Fine do whatever you want in CA. Let AL do what they want. If some dumb broad gets knocked up and wants to take a "trip" to take care of it then so be it. You can't prosecute crimes that don't happen in your state. Only the FBI can do that. 1

Plan B, morning after is a good choice for any woman who unfortunately endures a rape. No state has limits witin the first month and a half. Also, many states that put stricter limits in place have had state wide ballot initiatives to expand those limits. You know, democracy.

Perhaps if dems advocated for abortion with the same restrictions that liberal European nations have. Alas… 1

If you can't afford it then don't get knocked up. Crazy I know right. I never knocked anyone up on accident or know anyone close to me that did. Wild.

That's what I don't get. This should be an easy compromise: Abortions are legal for 5 months.... and figure it out from there. 1

I don't remember much - seriously, I locked myself out of my computera bitkey Friday with a password ive used for 12 years - but I remember clearly a number of cars being burned, including a few DC Police SUV's. I don't know that the media was yet big on reporting the whole chaos and protests for profit like they did just a few years later Yeah. I'm getting older so the years sort of blend together. I remember the Floyd riots during Covid and January 6th. That was kind of the low point in our country imo. I remember Bethlehem Steel building burning down the day after the 2016 election because I drove up route 5 that morning laughing that Trump pulled the upset. I just can't remember if it was mostly protests or riots that day.
Process Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I like to track betting odds during the election to get an idea of how things are going. Trump at -215 right now. Interesting that on election night 2020 Trump was like -900 at one point. That was a unique year though with covid, mail in voting etc.
dma0034 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 It's so funny. I listen to both Democrats and REpublicans and both kept pointing to the same thing as the reason why Harris/Trump would win. It still feels like this could go either way.
dma0034 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Here we go with Pennsylvania. It's like a 90% chance whoever wins the state wins

I truly truly hope none of your loved ones need an abortion because of a horrific event (is it a low percentage of abortions? Sure is. Doesn’t matter) and live in a state that would force her to keep her assailants child. But that doesn’t happen to you or in your town, I’m sure. The lack of human empathy of this mindset is so bizarre to me.

Nobody is against special cases of rape or *****. That's like 0.001% of cases and it's legal in all states as far as I know 3
