Were there riots or protests in 2016?  This country's so screwed up I can't even remember.

I had to think back on this a lot more than I realized. I don't remember much - seriously, I locked myself out of my computera bitkey Friday with a password ive used for 12 years - but I remember clearly a number of cars being burned, including a few DC Police SUV's.

I don't know that the media was yet big on reporting the whole chaos and protests for profit like they did just a few years later

The Democrats ***** up so badly on the border/immigration and no one trusts them on the economy either.

As much of a shitheel as Trump is, it shouldn't be a surprise that he may win.

If you say that around here they will call you a brainwashed MAGA. I've never voted for Trump in my life. It's just obvious that the Dems f'ed up. They could have been normal but when Trump went low they went lower. They deserve to lose. And it's not because we are racist Nazis like they will say on the news. It's because the Dems screwed up

They stuck their heads in the sand and pretended people cared about the issue they wanted them to care about.

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.

I agree with this 100%. Looks like 4 more years of Donnie is likely. At least we’ll have memes. Sure, women’s rights will go back to the 1800s, but the memes will be cool.

I won't say likely at this point, not just yet. Data is still limited and the major population centers aren't reporting yet.

Actually it seems more likely to me that Harris wins. She is outperforming Biden so far in a lot of counties

How will women's rights go back? Doesn't make sense. What do you think he's going to do?

It's not up to him. It's with the states. More power should be with the states. That's how this country was supposed to function.

I would never live in CA. To some people CA is what they want. They can live there and I will live in TX or FL or wherever they have rights that I agree with. That's the best way to handle disagreements on issues. And then at the end of the day we all come together as one country when necessary.

Why does a state have any right on how you treat your body? Things as important as that should not be left up to individual states but the entire country because what if you cross state lines to get an abortion? A lot of states want to make that illegal. If it effects 50% of the population then it should be left to the Federal Government and not the states
