And the takeaway is that the league has a different set of rules for KC? Lol. Apparently they had a different set for Jacksonville. We watched him hold Bosa relentlessly in the Super Bowl. And get zero calls. The tackle tandems that held relentlessly all season didn’t get flagged for one holding in the playoffs? Any idea how many holding calls they’ve had in the playoffs? the facemask on wirfs last night was the worst yet. Bucs get 7 on a run, in KC territory- no. 15 yard face mask when there was clearly no face mask. Bucs have to settle for 3. 1 Quote

SoonerBillsFan Posted November 5 Posted November 5 (edited) The NFL/Vegas are working OT to make sure KC gets another superbowl. Hell, I wouldn't doubt the flag fests we have been enduring are to aid that. Edited November 5 by SoonerBillsFan 1 Quote
Livinginthepast Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Another tease game for KC. TB D was pretty good all night, Mahomes looked like he might have been injured on that TD pass. Chiefs really undermanned with injuries. Officials were bias of course but with all that Mayfield takes them down the field for the tie and then of course thats when the tired TB defense gives out. Just sickening because the Chiefs are 8-0 but somehow look beatable every week. 1 Quote

Negan Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Bowles is another loser head coach, really surprised he got another HC job after is awful HC career. Should of went for 2 instead of coaching scared. 1 Quote
Big Turk Posted November 5 Posted November 5 (edited) My buddy had a 4 way parlay that would have paid out $5400 and had 2 of them hit prior to this game...all he needed was an Otton anytime TD and a Hunt anytime TD to win. He got the Otton TD in the 3rd quarter and then he ended up cashing it in when he thought Mahomes was hurt. Then Hunt scored in OT and he was pissed off beyond belief Edited November 5 by Big Turk 1 Quote

KC was also the only team to have a TD taken off the board last postseason, and it happened twice. Overall, they’ve been one of the most penalized teams in the league since Mahomes became the starting QB. The logical conclusion is that refs are inconsistent. Which everyone already knows, but it tends to be forgotten whenever a call goes the Chiefs’ way. Edited November 5 by SaulGoodman 2 1 Quote

Danger Mouse Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I wonder if all these close games are going to wear the chiefs out later in the year. Quote
DapperCam Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Chiefs don’t look that great IMO. We need to remember that the Bucs have a bottom-3 defense in the entire league. They were also missing their top 2 WR. Some 4th round TE was by far their most dangerous weapon. This was like if the Bills played the Jags with Brian Thomas Junior and Christian Kirk out. Would you have been satisfied winning a game like that at home in OT? I would think most people here would be disappointed in that result. 1 Quote
Shaw66 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I'm not going back through this thread to see who's said these things already, but I had a few thoughts about the game: 1. Nobody matriculates the ball down the field like Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Nobody. 2. DHop still has it and he's a fantastic addition to that team. He changes that team. 3. Late in the game, Chiefs needed about four for a first down, DHop ran a quick slant on the left side. Mahomes threw it before DHop looked for it and it fell incomplete behind him. Mahomes' throw was great, and DHop knew it as soon as he realized what had happened. He's been around the league, but he's never played with a QB like Mahomes before, a guy who is truly a master. Imagine how tough the two will be after working together for a few weeks. It was a little like Cooper dropping the quick sideline throw on his first live target from Allen - Cooper looked startled that the ball arrived as soon as it did, on tim. 1 1 Quote
HansLanda Posted November 5 Posted November 5 The NFL chose to adopt a kickoff concept from the XFL (!) to try and add "more excitement" and minimize injuries to a rather mundane play historically. however They have not decided to use the NCAA version of OT which is superior to what the NFL does in the regular season. KC wins the toss and you knew it was over. 1 Quote

SoCal Deek Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Missed in all of the commentary on the reality that the Chiefs are undefeated is how they're just barely winning these games. There's definitely something lacking there. I find it hard to believe they can keep it up. Quote
Dillenger4 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 DHop looks good! That was a good night for him and Mahomes. Too bad Kermit is injured now and may miss good time! Quote
