Wizard
That would be the Bills who lost (well McDermott) to the Chiefs in the AFC title game with the nightmarish 13 seconds blunder. Last year's team would be 2nd best in Allen Era followed by the Damar Hamlin year. Edited 5 hours ago by Wizard
The Jokeman
Cook/Davis/Johnson are better than any trio Allen's played with before or perhaps Brady best OC to develop a running game around Allen. Statistically our defense is not as good as we've seen but think Benford and Douglas are best CB pairing we've had under McDermott.

We haven’t beat anybody who is an actual threat and we have looked sloppy in a large % of games vs bottom dwellers. Things can change, but that’s how I see it so far. This is where I'm at. It's really, really nice to have the division basically wrapped up in Oct, but I need to see some wins against playoff teams.

Which team was better and why? 2022 but I think part of it is how you look at it. Then we were established in exactly what we were doing on both offense and defense. With everyone healthy by end of year if Brady and Babbich get settled in then things might be more equal. As it is I think both offense and D is to hit and miss so far. DeepPass
2 hours ago, JerseyBills said: I think this is a fair and simple question, I immediately thought of 2020 , which is the obvious choice but we didn't have close to the OL and run game back then. This team just put up 30 without WR1 and CB1 against the top offense last year. Don't see any reason we can't win out , obstacles happen, injuries happen but I see the most complete team I've seen in the Allen era imo Just curious of the families thoughts of why or why not they are or aren't GO BILLS NO! GoBills808
No Luckily it's easily the weakest AFC east

Having multiple games where our boundary receivers have less than 50yds combined doesn't sit well with me either. That's not gonna work vs. Playoff caliber teams. Boatdrinks
I’d have to say no. This team is not as talented offensively. Allen’s numbers reflect that. They are down pretty much across the board.
SCBills
Best OL in Allen’s career (tied w last year) Best RB room Best TE room WR room stills needs work, imo DL is not good enough (common theme) LB “could” be great when Milano comes back Best CB room we’ve had S room is obviously not comparable
Sammy Watkins' Rib
The running game seems better than any of the four previous seasons that is for sure. O-line I think is also at least as good as any of the previous years as well. Those are things that typically translate well in the postseason so I am hopeful. BillMafia716ix
I think they are. They are more balanced on offense. Now they don’t need Allen to be Superman every game to win.
hondo in seattle
In 2020, we had the #14 D and the #1 O. In 2021, we had the #1 D and the #5 O. In 2024, we have the #20 D and the #10 O. This is not a great team. But if we get healthy for the playoffs, and other teams do not, we could make a very fun run.

But the WR's are probably the 2nd worst after 2018. It's also the weakest defense the Bills have had in the Allen era. Fortunately though this is the best Allen we've had and that is making all the difference.
