Geez, definitely sounds like Cooper has a somewhat significant injury.

Yeah this is pretty disheartening.  Lasted one whole game and part of a second..  Now looks like he will miss at least a second game, and then who knows.

Unfortunately it's not only Cooper being injured... on the Injury Report there was a DNP and 3 limiteds among just the wide receiver group.

Good Lord, 4 WRs were limited or DNP.  I'd be surprised if Coleman plays and it's looking bleak for Cooper.  Samuel has been ineffective and is hurt.  Sure hope Hollins can go and the practice squad dude meets the moment.  They need to bubble wrap Shakir for a couple days.

Time for RBs to play as WRs.  Thurman was as good as a WR and hopefully one of our RBs can play that well.

How come everyone always get hurt

Because it's football.

What most fans don't understand is that if a player was good last year, and he "sucks" this year, it's probably because he's injured.

Injuries are the biggest variable in the NFL.

No way either is playing this week if they are not even catching footballs yet.

Although I’d tend to lean towards this conclusion, I wouldn’t guarantee it. If it’s just bruising/sprain, there really isn’t any reason to have them catch football and potentially slow any healing. It is still 3 days until the game. Maybe they will be game time calls.

Seems like we avoided a big injury to Coleman. Benford trending in the right direction but not sensing Cooper will play this week against Indy. Doubtful Coleman plays as well.

Let’s hope Flacco doesn’t somehow strike lightning in a bottle against the Bills. Stop the run and get after Flacco!

This game is going to be on Allen's shoulders and legs.

Cooper probably out vs Indy and KC. Coleman hopefully back for KC.

Really need strong games from Shakir, Kincaid, Knox, Cook, Davis and another WR. Use the WR’s to clear out space underneath if you have to.

Back with more raw data for you folks to calm

some unrational comments about the mighty Colts:

The Bills currently rank 6th in total DVOA. In plain speak, the team has outperformed the average of all the teams on similar downs and distances by 21%.

How might this look? If the average NFL team

on 3rd&10 gains 8 yards, the Bills gain 9.6 yards. We’re an Allen snow plow away from moving the chains.

DVOA has a strong correlation to winning percentage. As does rate of first downs per play. These things are both indicative of a good team.

Indy currently sits at 20th in the league in DVOA. They’ve accumulated a -5% rate of return in this metric.

In the same 3&10 scenario where the average team gains 8 yards, the Colts are gaining only 7 and a half.

**these are offensive examples, but the metric used is total DVOA which includes defensive and special teams performances**

The colts are very good against the run.  They are going to push Allen to throw the ball downfield and he is lacking his top two receivers....Allen needs to find Shakir, Kincaid, Cook, Davis and even Knox.

Where did you get this from?

They’re giving up 4.4 Y/C (15th of 32) seeing the 2nd most rushing attempts in the league,  and allowing 150 Y/G (31st of 32).

If you want to look at the split for the last three games, they are slightly better than their season average, but they still aren’t good by any metric I can see.
