Always a blast but I have to admit the best atmosphere by a mile was KC. Great fans, cool city, and awesome day day environment. Maybe it’s because they’re playing with house money so to speak - they’ve been so damn dominant. I was a ND fan when they got smoked in the National Championship game by Alabama. Alabama fans could not have been nicer. Ended up drinking and partying with a ton of them that night. 2 1 Quote

HappyDays Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Cooper not catching passes is a big concern, obviously... I worry Mack Hollins will be our #1 outside WR against Indy. 1 3 Quote

Doubtful Coleman plays as well. 4 hours ago, zow2 said: I thought last week Flacco looked like the old and ineffective QB with the Jets and Broncos. Maybe age is finally catching up. Last week people were lamenting that the Bills won't have the "easier" game with Anthony Richardson. Maybe in the end, the Bills catch a break by playing the more immobile Flacco. Let’s hope Flacco doesn’t somehow strike lightning in a bottle against the Bills. Stop the run and get after Flacco! 1 Quote

When I was running the numbers, I felt the Bills could pretty much build the exact same stadium as Lucas Oil (with the roof!) for what they are paying for their new stadium. I’ll report back. Doc Brown Posted November 7 Posted November 7 We might be down Coleman and Cooper this week. Darn it. Quote

I’m sure there’s more to it than this… but the way I see it… both Coleman and Cooper have wrist/hand concerns. So they can run fine. We keep trotting #1 and #89 out there every week and neither does more than run around and make sure we have 11 people on the field. Why not let Coleman and Cooper be those that run around and don’t catch any passes? At least the defense thinks they might. If I’m on the defense and #89 goes in the game, why would you think he’s a viable receiving option on the play? He’s clearly there just to go in motion and run around. I’d be stacking the box and doubling the other WR every time. 1 Quote
BuffaloBaumer Posted November 7 Posted November 7 No way either is playing this week if they are not even catching footballs yet. Quote

I’d be stacking the box and doubling the other WR every time. In order to play snaps at WR in the NFL, you have to be able to run block and get off the press. Both of those things require use of the hands/wrist, and neither would be possible for a player with an injured wrist to do successfully. That means that having such a player on the field during run plays would be detrimental to the success of said plays, and having them run routes wouldn't fool the defense for very long if they weren't able to do the hand-fighting necessary of running routes. I get what you're saying, but in practical terms, the requirements of the WR position would not allow a player with an injured wrist to contribute to the offense's success in any meaningful way. 2 Quote
PoundingDog Posted November 7 Posted November 7 This is not your father's NFL any more. Ask a player with an obvious injury to play with a real possibility of worsen the injury? NFLPA and lawyers will be all over the case. Quote
