Most stressful 1 minute 45 seconds

Saw a comment in that video someone said the longest 1:45 of his/her life. Same feeling. Was anxious walking back and forth; couldn't sit down.

I hope Allen talks to Tom Brady today. I felt like the last possession started badly because he's looking for a big play, a bit of sugar-high Josh there. The sack really put the Bills in a very bad position, time and distance wise, despite my high regards to Allen. The sequence after the Poyer penalty is more what I expect, some comebacker routes because you have to think among Keon, Dalton, and Shakir, someone is going to be single covered. Turned out that that person was Hollins after Keon went out.

Going forward with Bass's 61 yarder in the books, I'd expect the last 2 attempts from Allen would be shorter, boundary passes just to make life easier on the kicker. I have no doubt yesterday Bass' range was in Joe Brady and Allen's heads where they tried to get another 10+ yards in those last two passes.

I felt fine. The Bills weren't even down. They were tied.

This is why the long Bass kick was so risky. We would have given Miami back the ball with great field position if he missed.l and they had time to get into field goal range for the win.

I expected it to be a tough game. The Dolphins were desperate and playing to save their season. Give them credit as they played well and made plays yesterday. Tua really played well but the Bills found a way to get the win and that was all that mattered.

I expected Miami to go for two on that last TD.  Better chance of converting that one play than any other way imo.

With only 5 seconds left. They would have only had a Hail Mary to try. It was the correct decision.

Not going for two, and not icing Bass when they had two time outs was some questionable late game decision making by McDaniel.

The way they were moving the ball I wouldn't have been surprised if they went for two.

Only thing i don't like is that there's 1:40 on the clock - and you still lose on a FG.  Buffalo being down means 4 downs for every first.  In a tie game scenario - you stop them on 3 and they probably punt for OT.

5 seconds, it would have been one incredible feat to pull that off, possible yea, wildly unlikely yes.

Not really. It was stressful but not that insane. I told myself throughout the entire game that if we lost we still held the lead in the division by a wide margin and still have some winnable games on our schedule. Imo the dolphins week 18 game last year was way more stressful.

This game felt EXACTLY like the end of the Texans game.  1st down pass/incompletion was rough, if we dont bail ourselves out on 3rd down, Joe Brady is in protective custody lol  but yay!  We won hahahaha so ill take the good vibes

I probably ice with 2 timeouts - i don't know that you can do much after that other than a hail mary with 5 seconds from the bills 49.  I guess you can try a short pass timeout thing to try your own 60+ FG.  Either way you only need 1 timeout.  Sometimes icing works, sometimes you give them a practice kick and it doesn't.

Buffalo waited til about 1 to snap it there too, if they didn't get the snap off they'd probably punt.  Calling an ice timeout there might have also prevented that.

I think Miami would definitely have gone for two if there had been, say, 20 seconds on the clock when they scored. With 1:38 left, they had to kick the XP because even if they make the 2P conversion, you're giving the Bills four chances to get ten yards instead of three (assuming the Bills would have punted on a fourth down and not in FG range). With Allen, that one extra down is one too many chances. McDaniel said as much. They also could have failed the 2P conversion, and bear in mind that going into yesterday the success rate on 2P conversions this season across the NFL is 31 percent.

Yeah I hear ya.  I just think that was their best chance to win the game in Buffalo.

Bills would love for Phish to ice with two timeouts - it is an unsportsmanlike penalty and would make kick shorter.

Oh i just meant... with 2 timeouts I'd call one to ice.  I still have one if i get the ball back so i can try a short pass pre-long FG.

If i only had 1 timeout i probably wouldn't.

You guys who are saying the Dolphins not going for 2 was a bad call, I disagree. If you fail to make the conversion, there’s a higher probability you lose. If you make the conversion to take a 1 point lead, the Bills will now have 4 downs to get into FG range. If you tie the score, there’s a good chance the Bills will punt on a 4th down, or play less aggressively. If I was McDaniel, with that much time left on the clock, I too would’ve kicked to tie.
