The Bills beat the Dolphins because of you... (superstition/karma reasons)

How did your actions yesterday help the Bills win?  Something you ate?  Did you change your shirt at halftime?  Kick that annoying friend/relative out of the house? Secretly get your daughter to the game to surprise your wife?  I’ll start…

 

I wore both my Costco purchased Buffalo Bills shirt that I got earlier this year, along with the handmade by my Mom (RIP) sweater she gave me last Christmas.  Both were already 1-win items so I was worried that the winning power they each had would cancel each other out.  But in the end, it worked out.

The Bills beat the Dolphins because the football Gods have cursed them against the Bills in retribution for the whole O for the 70s streak against us.

 

In fact the only 2 times Allen lost to them was the heat game and the Clay end zone drop game.

As a Dodger fan, I think this week broke my belief in my insane superstitions.  I was held up at work and rushed over to my Dad's to watch Game 5. Didn't have time to put on my signed Tommy Lasorda hat, or a shirt, or any garb to speak of and yet we were rewarded with such ridiculous miracles.  I think I'm cured!

I didn't wear my bills socks for 2 games this season.  Baltimore and Houston.  Couldn't find them until the 2nd qtr yesterday and threw them on.

I was watching in my outdoor bar/man cave on Long Island. I have the bar pretty tricked out with bar signs, neon, tins, etc. At halftime I realized that I hadn't plugged in my neon Bills logo, so I turned that on just before the second half. That, I believe, was the reason the Bills came alive in the second half. Prove me wrong.

I'm a parish priest, and had 12:00 Mass here in Cincinnati. By the time I got to the Bills Backers bar in Northern Kentucky, Buffalo was losing 10-3. From the time I arrived, the Bills scored on every drive. Just saying...

The wife and I got back to doing shots for TD's in the 2nd half and they kept scoring

Down at the half 10 to 6 I decided not to have my steak and instead ate a bologna sandwich.
