I am baffled by his lack of involvement. He’s someone who you develop plays for, screens or handoffs, but they aren’t even doing that.

I thought they would do more than that, but to not even give him screens and handoffs is very strange.

They did run those plays for Samuel earlier in the season and usually gained nothing.  They run the same screens with Shakir and he gets 10 yards.

Agree. Similar results when they did that with Diggs. I want to see Samuel on some crossers exploiting a LB or more vertical routes.

Above and beyond that, PJax (no disrespect, but unless medical I’m not really in to calling you Dr. 😁) we are also obviously concerned because we may really, really…

…really need him for the next few weeks.

Thx for the mention.  Yep , it is medical , from Ohio originally , moved to Jax fl in 85 and been board certified in fam practice , urgent care for 40 plus years. Not doing much clinical work now as I’m 67 and had failed neck surgery after 5 discs collasped in my neck , damaging my spinal cord. But still fully licensed and walking and just trying to still help people with med issues , as medicine in the US HAS lost its way.
Drs now are  unfortunately controlled by big corps employing them , who are run by pharma and politics of the companies boards. ,   The  “ drs. “ who went to school ,,but never did do the actual clinical work and just use the credentials to  rise to controlling power positions , not continuing the actual real purposeful work , which was to be caring for people at times of critical health needs, aren’t fulfilling the real purpose of the title. Lol.  It’s just my opinion ; if you took one of the limited spaces to get  in school ( we are facing a huge shortage as boomers like me are retiring / passing and great smart young people now are going to other fields to not incur huge debt and frankly , probably have more control over their quality of life) you really should be dedicated to doing the actual purpose you went there to be trained to do.
Still doing thing to help young docs, , help friends navigate the system, and act as a consultant in malpractice cases.    Lots of great docs on here as bills fans , so I only give opinions very generally on med issues here , trying to  avoid controversial things because it gets interpreted I guess as arrogance , which if you knew me is just not close to any trait I posses or reason  I opine on player med related issues. My main purposes/ has only  and always been the same, I just only wish to help in a positive way , and being totally free from controls as I’m self employed means I have no agendas.  Really appreciate your statement and thought it was perfect.
You kindly reminded  me of one of my all time fav profs in undergrad who taught immunology and a fantastic surgery class In undergrad where I actually learned things that often got skipped in med school because of numbers of students / competition for spots to get into surgical fields.  He once said to my small , 8 student experimental surg class , “ real drs are phd’s , not the others, as phds’s are the real scientists and creators “.   It always stuck with me and I get his argument.  Loved the guy , you know , we all have 2-3 great teachers in our lives who share knowledge and really serve as role models and motivators.  He is gone now , and I never got the chance to go back and see if I could ever help him modify his view. He was right , but I really think those that actually treat / care for people deserve that title too because it’s a calling and everyone of us need them at some point in life as we will all face illness  and life’s end, and people need trust they will get compassionate care at those vulnerable times.  Your statement really hit home and it made me remember his great teaching and how he helped motivate me to be sure to always keep striving to deserve that title. Thankyou so much.

I really have no idea what the issue is with Samuel, but if it’s physical , then do something to definitively fix it or it’s a disservice to him to keep putting him out there. Just seems like something isn’t working out as no change or progress is happening. So it’s either him , or the Bills inability to create use for him and it seems like a wasted opportunity so far. Like you said , with injuries , we could really use what he did  well before as the season advances. Hope it gets figured out as when I watched him yesterday , I didn’t see anything a ps squad guy couldn’t do, and being from Ohio, I really hoped would really add a vertical threat and that’s just not happening up to now.  Happy holidays, go Bills !

Samuel saw 17 snaps on Sunday, or 26% of plays. Take Jalen Virgil’s 3 snaps and give them to Samuel…I mean, why is this guy on the field even?

The most prominent factor contributing to his invisibility is personnel. It’s hard to be a force when you aren’t on the field. But when he used, I cannot fathom how it’s possible he is so unimpactful. It has to be linguring injury. The guys can make plays, and they need to find a way to get him involved, or get him healthy.

I was also expecting him to have much bigger role in this offense with his experience. Not sure what is going on we will need him even more now with Keon possibly out.

Every time Josh throws to him  he slips and falls down???

Why don’t we run any jet sweeps anymore? With Samuel’s RB background you’d figure he’d be a perfect fit. As it stands, he’s another bust of a signing.

Bibles of truth and knowledge spread there, Dr. PJax!  The last of which was the Bills!

Thank you for sharing, all the way around.

i am one of the few who is mad at Poyer because of what it might cost us. I believe even if we punted we still would have won in OT and I’ll take the record field goal and the win.

Go Bills!

Yeah, In 9 games, Samuel has had 3 Carries for 6 yards, with a long run of 7 yards.  Shakir has 2 runs for 4 yards and that’s it for carries by WRs.

When they had McKenzie, it was very effective as they had it timed that McKenzie was in motion and just as he got to Josh, they would snap it so the O-linemen would stand up and the defense couldn’t see if McKenzie got the handoff.  He’d be running around the end before the defense knew he had the ball.

We keep changing OCs and they continue to show little imagination in deception of what they’re going to do.  Instead, it seems like every 3rd and 3+ yards is empty backfield with 4 wide so the only threat of a run is Josh.

Other teams run WR screens and there’s 2 or 3 blockers in front of them.  Bills run it and sometimes there’s only one.  If it’s Samuel, fogettaboutit!

at this point, I am not even sure it is injury related. He seems washed.

From all the hype in the preseason to what he could do for Brady's offense i would have to agree, he hasn't shown much of anything at all, even when given the opportunity he gets caught for a loss and has had no impact in the slightest . I hope it is some kind of injury and he can turn it on when it comes play off time .

One more legit weapon for Josh sure couldn't hurt ...

I maintain that Samuel is just nowhere near 100% right now. He'd be way more involved if he was fully healthy. I think the toe is probably still causing some issues, hard to run, cut, and plant with that type of injury.

I hope he can heal up and be more of a factor down the stretch.

Just play the guy at WR. Stop trying to make him some Swiss Army knife. We have 3 good RBs and good TEs…we need him to just be a regular WR

They need to let him get healthy before doing anything.

Then put him on IR

Doubt it.

The Bills could have put him on IR and elevated someone. There is no need to dress an injured player that is completely useless.
